Well I rate his Max and his methods and am praying that he has a speedy recovery.
Having recently been to the Moorhouse Demo and having the pleasure of meeting both Sam and Max I can say I didn't see anything that concerned me at all. I also remember quite clearly Max stating that he looks back on his earlier years and cringes.

... I also remember quite clearly Max stating that he looks back on his earlier years and cringes. Don't we all? If only we had known then what Monty, Kelly, Max and numerous others have taught us. The important thing is not what we did yesterday, but what we learned and what we will do tomorrow.

lol, Don't make me laugh so hard Arabheaven, it hurts. I wasnt going to post on this, but I just cant resist. I rode Max's horse Jo for nearly two years and the concept of me being associated with a man who is 'anti women' is absolutely cracking up my OH right now. To quote my OH "Like you would have put up with that type of **** for two days, let alone two years"! (he says this as he is doing the dinner -AND tidying up after himself too!) :-) :-)

yes it was a pony club demo at larkhill RA.. gosh must have been... about 6 yrs ago?! lol! well i think i should get myself to another demo soon as i said it has been a while since i last saw him. i wish him a speedy recovery. i dont think she was necessarily employed but did work with him very often, im not wanting to start any arguments i was merely saying what my opinion of him is i hope that his new methods will change that!

Well I had Max out to load my mare who was positively dangerous. Max was calm even when she attempted to stop him having any more children. He never raised his voice never mind a whip & I know max has never used whips on horses, so I guess somewhere along the line things may have got 'muddled'. As for the women thing as most of his customers are women, he wouldn't have much of a business if he were anti women, & I have always found him very courteous & friendly, i did laugh out loud when I read that bit of your post. I would say his books are well worth a read, & if you haven't been to a demo, go & see for yourself & the DVD is great too. Yes I do rate him as he helped me move on with my mare & helped me to learn to enjoy her

When saying such things about Max That person should check out her facts. He's great with the lasses, Lets all raise our glasses, And sort out our legs with some wax!

I've ridden Jo too, he's an absolute credit to Max and his work he does. The horse was fantastic, I wasn't so fantastic!!!
Arabheaven, you would, i'm sure, find Max's demo's totally enlightening and quite touching, seriously, you ought to go along and make your mind up yourself on first hand experience:)
