Poor thing. I hope he isn't subjected to hours of being chased round by people who can';t really help him. Good luck, Holly. I am too far away but would help if nearer.
We had a pony like that in the next field at the riding school years ago. Kind dad bought his daughter a lovely dun pony. Think she'd had lessons but had no idea about looking after a horse, and he was chucked in the field with the cows, no other horses. It was sad to watch her trailing round shouting him for hours sometimes, bucket in tow. We were longing to help but were banned by our YO!

if its digging in his head then y havent they asked their vet to get a dart gun and get it off him??im sorry but i think summit is up too. i hope all the RA's get involved in helping whoever takes him on.i too think a permanent home would be better than a temp.

I think the woman just wants rid of him out of the field.. and if he's not hers to sell and someone takes him - is that not theft?

Why is it digging in his head? Surely that wouldnt happen unless he was young and had grown since been turned out

Well I'm just glad someone's going to save him. She has its passport and is going to give signed confirmation of 'sale'. Of course it would be good to pass his details to horsewatch and just check he wasn't stolen in the first place but I think this lady sounds genuine. Even if he has to be given back to someone I'm sure none of us would resent giving time to get him out of this immediate predicament. It looks like a horrid nylon headcollar that is probably rubbing.
I have my fingers crossed that natalia gets through.

guys sorry i have not got back to you had one heck of a night, listen this horse can be caught quite easily you certainly will not need a lasso, he is relatively easy to be caught with a little patience. I can not take him because he has some major issues i can not tell you were i have the info from all i can ask is you take my word. This little chap needs a new home as soon as poss but a home for life. he has not had a good life and he more than Luke will never be ridable, he has allot of scaring to his face, ears neck , back, he has a really bad kick to one of his legs and is frightened to death, he could possibly have internal injuries of some sort. The people who have him are not clueless. I could yes rehabilitate him , but he has some major issues, you will more than likely need experienced help with this little chap. If after all that you could re home him then you go for it, but my heart could not take it, he has suffered to much pain and he would need to stay with me forever. please if you take this guy, think care fully, he poss may never be ridable, he will have major issues especially were humans are concerned . he may never become a good catcher horse. I have sobbed over this because it breaks my heart. please some one with experience who can give him a home for life take this little chap on

look i have not scene him, so maybe if someone can go and see him, his injuries may not be as bad as they have been descibed to me. if it was not three hours away i would be there like a shot if anything to get some one to him. please if any one goes let me no how he is. word of mouth is not always true to it s word, but the persons concerned i have a great deal of respect for. so if you even live close and no what you are lookin at then go first thing in the morning and lets see if we can give the guy a good home

He's too far away for me holly I'm afraid otherwise I would be there!!
Not only that but I've got a very poorly pony at the moment and I daren't travel too far away incase she takes a turn for the worse.
But some one please go and have a look and let us all know how he's doing and what the situation is

I was trying all last night to get hold of her, and will continue this morning. I have left messages and also texted her but theres very little else I can do apart from keep trying. We can go collect him today or tomorrow as have enough people on hand both days. We also have the space right now as got two ponies leaving this weekend so will have spare stables. I can't leave it too long as else we won't have any room!

Poor, poor thing. I wish I was closer. Just a thought, could the RSPCA not do anything?

Tammy-RSPCA are utter crap...as long as he's got water they won't touch him...but well loved hunting dogs owned by loving owners get checked on just because they're in kennels
