Just a word of caution. The ad says he is being advertised on behalf of a friend. It also says the pony is being kept in this womans field but belongs to the friend. If you take it - make sure it is hers to give in the first place....

Hi,
I am desperatly trying to get hold of the woman as can go with an army of helpers in the morning to collect him as shes only down the road. We aren't phased by handling or ridden issues and can give this poor little chap a good home till he's sorted, or find him a companion home if not. We will be taking our mini shetland with us and working on the principle of leading her in and giving hima bit of encouragement, where theres a will theres a way!

have fond memories of a pony named Fudge who wouldn't be caught..... it was only one day, but a saturday when she was needed in the school...she was out alone all day long, didn't bother her, we all went up in the evening to help catch her... she managed to jump out 3 feilds and eventually back into her own feild before she gave up...the only sweaties were us!!!

I have left her a message even though her answer phone says don't as I need to organise troops for the weekend. I have a feeling it won't be the worst to load I've ever had to deal with, once at work we had to load two unhandled 3 yr olds from a 20 acre field, they jumped the 5ft fence back in ata least twice and it took all afternoon, they were so bad that one lay down on the ramp (when we finally got her herded up to it) and refused to get up, we litarally had to push her in! both became normal well adjusted horses within a few days of sympathic handling. Will let you know of any outcome.

i ohope someone on here can take him on ive been worried about hm all day, where he could possibly end up !!! at a dealers or worst , i havenot got transport or people to help, yes he may have issues but they are probably easily solved or once caught he could be an angel ! i use to own a arab mare who would not be caught she was a cow , we use to bring her foal in to the stable thining she would be caught then , but hay no way , with having to spend a long time every night with friens trying to catch once caught she was a dream , she would even lay down beside me with her head on my lap, you would not think it was the same pony so he may not have problems but then again he might, so good luck, hopefully natalia you can get hold of said women , then she could be there with some dealer who would goout imediatly !

well hopefully she hasn't got hold of anyone who is willing to run round in the wet and dark. If anyone fancies calling this woman for me and passing on my number if you actually get through to her it is 07977 431 829 or 020 8546 4214. We can get him in the morning but need to get hold of her first and she's not picking up her phone! I have a small army of people to help round him up and enough sedaline and acp to knock out an elephant if needs be. I also have feed, shetland tart, lungelines , nice big trailer with no partitions etc!

Oh dear, it's Mrs word of caution again here. What if this pony gets injured while an outsider is trying to catch it - what if it gets out of the field and injures someone else? What if it trashes the horse transport? I wonder if this pony is insured or whether anyone handling it would be insured. Please be careful.
My thoughts on sedating and using lassoos are all on the catching the yearling thread by Highlander. If this pony has ever been out on the Forest (and crosses sometimes are) it will be an expert at disappearing and a fence isn't going to stop it.
