Not good but not terrible. Just got letter from jobcentre cant get jsa and not really been offered anything else except possible help with council tax. So currently living on £30 a week which is already been paid by livery and gone to pay for hay. Feeling pretty low to be honest. But the horses are making it bareable.

Thank you. Im unsure as to which way to go at minute the issue with running a livery yard at mine is i cant really make money out of it just not big enough but can get some pocket money from it i suppose. I have got two mornings at yard now but god only knows how long that will last.

Troop, one thing I've learned the hard way about living in beautiful but remote areas is that you need to keep a lot of irons in the fire. Juggle several jobs and anything self-employed you can get your hands on. You wouldn't believe the rubbish jobs I've done down the years just to keep body and cobs together.
I really like your idea of the pasty making - just feel that could be useful, especially if done in conjunction with your local butcher. Hang on in there, and just keep jotting ideas down, play about with working out costs and profits. Is there anything (non-edible) you could make and sell on Ebay?

Just had a letter about cockerals and dog .... again! Annoyingly after getting rid of the last two cockerals 2 more appeared so now they are crowing (although not badly) and my dog barks ... yes along with ALL the other feckin dogs in the village. Why can the moaning idiots not just come and tell me.... i presume its the silly girlfriend of the guy that moved up road silly miserable ===== as she was frowning at me yesterday. Mind you she has a dog that.... wait for it .... barks! The cockerals up the road dont get turfed off. I am cheesed off today totally fed up. Im flipping ill today and just wanted a quiet day with no extra stress but noooooooooo cant even get that.

My neighbour, whom i think is responsible hates me plus we might have got him into trouble as ages ago he took some of our land and raised an area that may actually belong to the council plus he has been doing some drainage work and it looks like he has sent the problem to us as my fields have been awful and yes i know its rained but even when we proper flooded the land drained quickly. I hope we have caused trouble as he has been awful over the years. Im so tired! Been throwing up today just feel rotten. The OH has been working his socks off so im missing him but its just too cold to hand out in the garage for long without me being in agony with my back. So im being lazy covered in blankets with a film and the dogs.

Oh and went in to work yard yesterday everyone super nice got good welcome mainly cause man of house not there (good) but i was shocked at the state of one of the ponies i did not recognise her she seems to have had lice and has rubbed everything it looks more like mage ... i didmt touch her and i washed before going near my lot bit concerned though. The livery with Ty has been offered Lady the tb mare i fell in love with when she arrived skeleton like and emaciated it might be nice for her to join us and she likes Ty but im not sure the livery could afford another.
