Ok i cant help you make a decision but a business plan is basically looking at all of the costs you could incur realistically over the space of a year and then what income you would expect. So how many liveries you could expect, how you would grow this to increase income, and how much you would charge to give an expected income for the year.
It doesnt need to look pretty, just work out expected income vs expected costs and see if it will give you enough money to live on.

Thanks Hols that is the most sense anything has made to me on that front. I am debating if i should call the horse chap down rd he asked me to break his mare in but i never had time. i dont know how much i could ask or get though and what if it goes wrong :/ .... meh! The daughter text me this morning asking if i could definately do the pony club so i may have to just go for that although my OH thinks i should clean break as they treated me so badly. Apparently yesterday nobody did much at all and all the horses have broken out in lice.

That sounds promising - good luck!
Can you work out an hourly rate for starting the horse down the road, and just go down and work her from there? Get paid as you go along?

Im not sure what a fair amount to ask liz :/ she is about 6 and hardly been handled but i have known her since she was born so i think we have a bit of a bond. He usually sends them to a local breaker who travels over from Holland and the group literally break a huge group of youngsters in at the same time but it seems he has seen the light with them after a few accidents the last time. She leads so i guess i need her leading and long lining tack on and backed. The guy is used to them being done in a month and i think i can work with that but i guess i wont know until i actually atart. Im used to dealing with younguns but i usually have either a good relationship with them or help.

Find out the going rate, and charge it. Never charge less, it just looks as if you have no confidence in yourself.
For a business plan, split the year into months. For each month, write down what you hope to earn, and what you expect your expenses to be. Do you expect to make a profit or a loss? Remember all your possible expenses. It is usual to hope to earn a bit more as you become established than you do at the start.

Well im meeting the guy about the mare so will see what happens. My OH had an idea of randomness. I used to work in a bakery/coffee shop.... sooo he suggested making pasties or the like. Cakes are not really needed around here LOL ... anyway i used to make the pasties back home so perhaps using the butcher next door (local meat) who also sells local produce (carrots etc) maybe i could make and sell pasties. Would have to look into it but i do have a health n hygeine cert although i will need to refresh LOL am thinking of all ideas right now

Sounds like another promising idea there. You have the knowledge and the premises, and the certificate, which is a great start. Good luck.xx
