When the winter weather is bad, what could be better than drawing up a chair to the fire, supping hot chocolate, and making plans for the next year (hopefully we'll get some riding in if this snow ever goes!)
My year will be focused on bringing my newest girl Riti slowly back into ridden work. Lots of long hacks on Reyes and Millie, hopefully with friends (once I've saved up for a new saddle). Lots and lots and lots of groundwork, and playing with the dartmoors. Nothing too ambitious really.
Oh, and just sitting in the field watching them quietly munch that beautiful green grass!
What are you hoping to achieve in 2011?

Meg to stay in work for a period longer than 2 months, and to actually get out doing stuff. My big aim is to do the PN at the BE horse trials at College in May. Last few months of 2011 (sept onwards) my aim is for Abbie to be happily accepting saddle, bridle and rider. Non horsey wise, to come out of Uni with a 2:1...and get a good job and make a dent in my MASSIVE debts Keep being happy and for my current relationship (4 months ) to keep being as good as it is now.

to get my horse past his issues with being ridden, get him hacking out quietly and confidently. I'd also love to do some in-hand showing with him as he's bootiful

Only if you come as photographer Emily - I always tend to go to shows on my own! Might have to force hubby to come along and record the moment though when he does his first ele test....

To inspire people to write articles for the Listening Post - come on, while you've got your pens out, go for it!

Well Indie's going to be lightly started early next year, so my ambition is by the end of the year to be able to do light work with him, have him happy, content and loving life!

My ambition for 2011 is for April to go to stud. I am currently looking at some beautiful stallions and need to make a decision soon. I think a couple of years off being a Mum will do her the world of good.
