The stories coming from Australia are truly amazing. I also cannot bring myself to watch any more of the films whether they be good or sad ones. I am a bit worn out by it. Thank god for animal lovers and people like Jane who are helping to reunite those beautiful horses and animals .... Please let it all stop and the people of Brisbane are prepared for whats coming xx

The news is saying the water should reach its limit in the next few hours. I pray this is so but fear the devastating images we will see as the water recedes

This is the most traumatic news report - horses at the start - that shows horses struggling at the beginning. This is the one that has everyone in tears. www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJSemiEmrMA&feature=player_embedded#! One of my friends is in Toowoomba with an endurance training stables. She has started this Facebook page - they are trying to get hay in. Help Toowoomba and the Lockyer Valley district ANIMALS in FLOOD! There's a donation number if you want to help with finance for fuel, as hay is being transported right up the East Coast from Tasmania and Victoria, via NSW. If you would like to make a cash donation that will assist to get hay from Tasmania to SE Qld, please deposit to Horse Welfare Tasmania. Account details: Westpac BSB 037604 Acc 262713. Please make a reference "Flood relief". If you're concerned about making an international donation and don't feel quite sure, then do get in touch with me and you can Paypal me and I'll forward it via my bank account. We'll lose some off the top, but that's all I can think of at the moment. I say again, I'm not doing anything much except passing information on...

Got it... the campaign group for the Toowoomba and Lockyer Valley, where the real horrors have occurred, are setting up a paypal address. I'll post it here as soon as I know, later on today (tomorrow morning to you!)

gnasherboy, apparently that stud lost 90% of its horses... so sad.... The horses trying to get onto the building rooves in the flood, seen on yesterday's news? They were saved. See them here (prepare to cry). au.news.yahoo.com/video/national/watch/23832360Lauranash, they're not being ignored here - there's rolling news coverage. Maybe in the UK, there's so much to sift through that animal stories don't come on top? Jackiedo - I'm not sure, maybe you could transfer your money to someone who does have paypal? An international direct bank transfer costs too much really. I'll be posting a paypal address tomorrow, as it's still being set up now.
