I was just thinking that it'll be nice to attend a demo without having to pull on the thermals. How wrong I was!

Hoplands was fab. Had a great time though I thought Kelly was a bit harsh about Caesars looks! I thought he looked more George Clooney than Tom Hanks Mind you, Pie WAS the star... Also lovely to chat to Zoe (keep James away from my daughter please ), Nicole, Lynn and Rosie

Hi Kelly Just another - belated! - remark on the Hoplands Clinic last Friday: I had my non-horsey husband and 2 teenagers who've started to help me with the horses with me. It was a first IH (or any other) demo for them and they really loved it, even my hubby!! It is great to see you back doing demos, Kelly, being professional, educational, informative and fun - and the ridden element was the icing on the cake. By the way, my husband thought you are much more Nigella than Delia!! Patty

I attended Doncaster last night with a friend who had never really heard of Intelligent Horsemanship. Thanks to the very relaxed and informative way in which Kelly and the gang presented the demonstration - my friend is now completely converted and as we speak is off to the yard to spend some calm quality time with her neddy. The way in which the subjects are presented makes the average horse person believe that these results are possible with our every day average horses. All of the horses that took part were beautifully behaved bearing in mind they were in strange surroundings and lots of strange people there. Also although Pie is fab, my heart belongs to the lovely chunky monkey that is Caesar - what a sweetie . Thank you all again for the hard work that you put in to making a fun night. It would be nice if there were some demonstrations further north. I travelled from Newcastle and the ladies sat next to me were from Scotland. Also there was a distinct lack of bailer twine - to recognise any other DGers ;D. Will definitely attend other demos. Kara

HI Kelly and Team! And Hi KJ1, I was one of the ladies from Scotland sat next to you- the one that talks alot!!
Thankyou for a wonderful and inspiring evening- I could quite happily say that I could attend every demo and love every moment of every one! I love the new addition to your family- Caesar and its great seeing him as a work in progress. Also full compliments to Rosie jones- what a lovely rider!
I too was at the demo with a friend who had never seen an IH demo before and has only heard of it through my babbling on. She absolutley loved it quite frankly and is so excited that she has found a whole new dimension to ways to work with her horse. The first message- controlling your horse feet really stuck in both our brains!
I was very moved by the second loader- the one with the head issue, you could really see the horse weighing every situation up and wondering if it would cope, and eventually having the confidence to follow through.
The reason my friend became interested is she has a horse who has had some bad experiences travelling and naturally has reservations about loading. We are working together to help both her and the horse discover that the situation doesn't have to be stressful and last night really exemplified that. Also thank you to Linda Ruffle for taking the time to answer our loading and travelling queries at the end of a long day- it is really appreciated!
So, a fabulous evening- nearly ended up heading south insted of north as we were yapping on so much that my sat nav lady didn't seem as important to listen to. Got home at 2am and couldn't sleep as I was still so excited! Some things never change ;D
Enjoy the rest of the tour xxx

So I'm going to be really, really brave and keep this up during the May Masterclasses for reviews from anyone that goes. What I think I've learned from your DG suggestions is:- 1. You'd like far more owner interaction 2. You'd like to see how to deal with ridden spookiness, not just the issue on the ground 3. You'd like things explained really step by step so you could do them at home 4. You'd like to see standing still to mount and any day to day problems that come up bucking, rearing, catching etc (of course this all depends on what horses are put forward for us to use) 5. You'd like more RA involvement 6. You'd like to be inspired and learn something new OK so I'll make those my goals. First demo starts Friday night at Hoplands. Let us know how we're doing - then by Warwick we'll be perfect! ;D Kelly I think you managed all of that last night at MoorhouseEC..... I was sooooo tired though on way home, took a wrong turn and added 40min to my drive! I was at my desk on time this morning but I am yawning! Twas nice to see people last night, and it was really good to see so many different RAs working. I got a lot out of the demo last night, not to mention the new hoodie top!

I wore mine, kj1, just in a subtle way ;D I appreciated seeing Kelly on her own with her team. I liked the fact that she dealt with her horses in a pragmatic way, as I have only seen Kelly as an adjunct of Monty. Much as I like and respect Monty, I think Kelly is her own person ( I am sure Monty would agree!) so it was so god to see her work. I had a very enjoyable INTELLIGENT (because I was not patronised which I hate) and informative evening. Thankyou to Kelly and her team

oooh, just found this. Already posted on the main bit Brilliant. ONLY complaint - the speakers looked like they could be adjusted higher, and we were right infront of one so spent a lot of time ducking and diving to see SueW a tall woman with a dark bob (haircut not male ) walked past us with a bag sprouting a sparkly silver wand......

Oh yes, that was me. ;D Pie tried to eat it. ;D
It was miraculous! Had my non horsey OH with me and he said "I'd quite like to try that" - he meant join up. Told him as soon as he has finished the arena and bought me a roundpen, he can. ;D
