.....and calls them daft names. I am far, far worse with the foals than with anything else... I shout "fooooooaaaaaliiiiiiessss" up the field and they come running over. Ollie immediately puts his head on my shoulder (could be dangerous when he's 16hh) and they both settle down for a foalie threeway... I groom Dax, she grooms Ollie and Ollie grooms me - stood in a triangle. i try not to do it when the postman is due Whats your pet name for you ned, and do you cuddle it - and does it let you? Mine love it! LOL

Mine gets tons of snuggles - Dolly's cuddlier than Dylan at the moment but he has started to call and come over when he sees me Dolly begs for cuddles and likes to put her head against my chest while I scratch her cheeks

I'd love to have a cuddly intimate moment with me arab, sadly he hates it. He does that big head twirly araby thing and knocks me into next week, so I've given up trying.
Although, a few years ago I was just sitting in the field watching him and he left his mates, came over and rested his head on my shoulder for ages. Cue copious blubbing...it was lovely!

Don't most people cuddle their horses? We certainly do.
Tia gets called Teabag, Old Bag anything along those lines Peni is always Peni Pony or Penelope Pony Gotham is usually Old G*t Teddy is Teddy Bear or Super Ted Rascal is usually called Ba***rd Bill Rogan is Rogan Josh Kizzie is Izzy Wizzy Kizzie Sana is either Sana Banana or Sana Sandwich (no idea why!) Genie is Genie Jump Emmie is Emmiekins Viva is Vivviewiv Netia is Netianumps Indi is Indikins
All the others are known by short versions of their names. Looking at my list above, should I call the men in white coats now? :/

Mine are the 'big black barsteward' and Daffodil and they get loads of cuddles. BBB looks down his nose a bit sometimes, but Daffy loves hers!

i try not to do it when the postman is due Why? My cuddliest horse (a 17hh WB x ISH) has our postlady trained to bring him mints. Coming to ours costs her a fortune as the dog greets her demanding biscuits - and Sky falls over his stable door for his cuddle and mints (his stableh is on the way to the Tack Room where she brings the mail as she doesn't DARE go near the house in case the other dog leaps the gate and bites her! ) Sky is definitely the cuddliest - you CAN'T walk past his stable without cuddling him - but they all get cuddles!

Yes, indeed, and then I am considered by many of my peers to be a 'bunny hugger', never mind a 'neddy hugger' and therefore, considered far too anthropormorphic to be a 'serious Classical trainer'!!
My neds couldnt give a "nuts", frankly, about this opinion, and are so 'anthropomorphised' that my Hispano Arab, Fantasia, would come in and sit on the sofa, given half a chance!
