I am still reeling from this news. Nikki was one of the vertabrae that make up the backbone of this DG. Her passing will leave a very big hole in a lot of peoples lives. Generous, genuine, funny, helpful, loving, all words that sum Nicki up.
Justin and family, please accept my condolences and love. Nikki, enjoy Rainbow Bridge and we know you'll be looking after all our animals there.
RIP sweetheart XXXXX

I am very much a 'lurker' but I alway looked forward to Nikki's postings as she always sounded so vibrant and such a lovely person. I often wished I knew her, she sounded so good.
She will be missed greatly here.
I am so sorry you have lost her. Hugs and thoughts to you both.

Justin, thankyou for considering the people on here and letting us know.
I think we can all say that our love for horses has drawn us together, and through that Love some have developed good friendships, people they can confide in, and people they can turn to when times are hard, normal day to day life or downright humorous moments.
I think Nikki will always be remembered as one of those people, and the people who have posted on here are a reflection of how many lives she has touched, and will continue to do so.
Her essence lives on for us, and I hope that we can remember Nikki with love and gratitude for what she brought to us.
God bless you and your family, xxx

Not at all what I was expecting to read, what can you say other than so very sorry for those she has left behind and the loss of someone who probably still had much to offer. RIP.

Well, just reading your posts makes me weep some more, but also smile, because Nikki was someone we loved so much here. I'm thinking of a wonderful ride we had on my first visit, Nikki on her noble and gleaming black Lona, me on the happy little Orioni (little compared to Lona that is!). Nikki was the mad English lady wearing black, with "wierd hair" as she put it, riding out on her great black mare into the wonderful Tuscan landscape. That was Nikki in her element, and is how I will remember her. I'm thinking of Justin, and their lovely son and two daughters who made me, and also Shuna, so welcome. But particularly young Chloe, such a hard experience for a young girl. I hope Chloe that you will come to realise that your Mum was where she loved to be - with you, snug and comfy relaxing together xx Love to you all.
