Id agree its the journey you make together that puts in the fine detail, but for me there is such a thing as a horse that has been well started and has some basic training to build on. Some people like to work with very raw material and others to take on challenging projects but doesnt sound like that is what OP is looking for. There have been some good comments on Safecobs over time on a number of sites by the way - never seen anything really awful said about them. Trouble is, prices go up along with all the work that gets put in - which is what youd expect really.

Hi there
My search still continues decided to take a break as really fed up with the whole search.
One question there seem to be so many warmbloods for sale at the moment. This is a breed I do not know much about. All the people I know that own one compete and keep them very busy. I would imagine a happy hacker home would not be such a suited home to one.
Where have all the nice home breed TB x types gone that used to be ten a penny 15 years ago. A nice 15.2 seems a very rare thing down in sunny old West Cornwall.

I have a Conn X TB 15.2hh only 5yrs old but sensible. Old head on young shoulders. Has done a bit of everything last year and just in now getting fit. He is incredibly loved so will only go to correct home but I cannot keep all my horses. Only fault will not show as one foot is slightly pigeoned toed. Box, shoe etc all good. Follows you around. Can send over pics if wanted just ask. We are in gloucestershire if not too far

Hi guys
Sorry to bump this thread up but I am still searching to buy my next horse with no luck looking in my area.
Lady on my yard has just bought a horse which passed a five star vetting. Two days in just found out it has moon blindness in one eye. Making me extra careful now.
Take care

Sorry to hear you are still looking. Very bad to hear about the vetting issue, i would be less than impressed with my vet if that happened!

I have been looking for a 13.1 - 13.3 pony for me, and have either found one, rung up and it's been sold, or rung up and it is about 4 years old, and that is definitely not what I want for a first pony, But hopefully as you said, a pony will find me.
