Livery or kept at home? Livery Type of livery if kept at livery ? DIY Distance/time from home ? 25 min walk Number of your horses at yard ? 1 Total number of horses at yard ? 10 on our yard ( 6 owners) and 4 on side yard (2 owners) What is your YO like ? Wonderfull, absoluteley the best !! Facilities ? 27 acres grazing, american barn type stables, electricity, natural water supply, floodlit yard, tack and feed room, barn storage, bare paddocks, winter paddocks. Hacking ? Have to cross major road to get to bridleways, otherwise average. Monthly rent ? £80 24/7/365 turnout allowed ? 24/7 during summer, in at night in winter but daily turnout for as long as you wish, whatever the weather. Fencing type ? Mostly dry stone walls, paddocks are post and rail lined with electric. Own field or shared ? Shared, horses are in small groups of 'friends'. Field shelters ? No, but plenty of natural shelter. Bedding/hay/haylage available ? YO cuts own hay, and organises haylage delivery, we club together and get bedding delivered from local supplier. Extra jobs available if you need them done ? We all help each other out, in an emergency someone will always do whatevers needed. Close to other horsey things eg shops, x country courses, competitions ? Yes, tack/feed shop is 10 mins drive away,indoor/outdoor school to hire short hack away, local competitions close by. Lorry/trailer starage ? Cost ? Yes, free at owners risk. Your top 3 pros/reasons why you like your yard ? The YO and other owners are fantastic, we've all known each other most of our lives and apart from the odd bicker we get on great ! Everyone watches out for all the horses, not just their own and we all think the same way regarding care/handling etc , all the horses 'quirks' are accepted and accomodated. My horse is happy and relaxed , and so am I !! Any cons/ things you would change ? A school would be nice ( planned for next year) and the usual minor gripes, muddy gateways etc.

Livery or kept at home - livery/private friend own land arrangement Type - DIY Distance/time from home - 10/15min, 4 miles Number of horses - 1 total number of horses - 4 What is YO like - Very relaxed Facilities - Stables in nice barn area (not used), electricity, water, lots of field shelters. Owners live on site. Hacking - Not great. Mainly village rides, to get to bridleways you usually have to box (I creep around farmers fields...) Monthly rent - £50 24/7/365 turnout - yes not many horses so field doesn't get too churned up Fencing Type - Post and rail and mains electric fencing Own field or shared - I share with one other but have choice to use a small paddock alone for spring/summer time. Field shelters - yes Bedding/hay available - hay available for £3 per bale Extra jobs available if needed - YO occasionally looks after Hanni for me and I do same for her horse when she is away. Close to other horsey things - not far in a box. Lorry/trialer storage - yes, free of charge. Top 3 pros - relaxed and no bitchiness, small (hate large liveries) field shelters and option to use stable if ever needed. Also owners around on site - supposid good security although tack recently stolen - they have improved security . Can keep Hanni ut 24/7 Any cons - Tack got stolen :-( more options for Hacking would be great!
