Here's mine: Livery or kept at home? Livery Type of livery if on livery? DIY Distance/time from home? 2-3 miles Number of your horses at yard? 2 Total number of horses on yard? 7 on our bit, another 4 on top yard. What is your YO like? Mostly keeps out the way, fertilises etc., when she needs to. Has mood swings here and there and goes on one then goes quiet for another 6 months Facilities? Water troughs in fields, stables in an old building so warm, mains powered fencing, lights and plug sockets for tea, no school. Hacking? Plains - can go for miles only if army not out on it otherwise little country style lanes. Monthly rent? £66 per horse or £117 for 2 (don't ask how she worked that out lol!) 24/7/365 turnout allowed? Yes as long as the fields don't get trashed, you have to be sensible. There are 5 horses that live out all year. Fencing type? Barbed wire with wooden posting and mains powered electric line on the horse's side of the fence to keep them from the babed wire. Own field or shared? Own fields, I have 2 that I rotate mine between. Field shelters? No Bedding/hay/haylage available? Straw, shaving, shavings/straw mix and hay available and delivered/stacked for you. Reasonably priced. Hay is £3 per bale. Extra jobs available if you need them done? Through other liveries not through YO. Close to other horsey things e.g shops, xc courses, competitions? Yes, lots of xc courses, equestrian centres within an hour's drive. Lorry/trailer storage? Cost? Free storage as long is it is out of the way of the tractors. Your top 3 pros/reasons you like your yard? YO tends to leave us to our own devices. Fellow liveries are lovely people and most are like minded. Good hacking. Any cons/things you would change? I would love a school, floodlit would be even better! And if the army could stay off my hacking area, that wuld be fab! I think that is about it...

Livery or kept at home? Livery Type of livery if on livery? Grass Distance/time from home? 3 miles Number of your horses at yard? 1 Total number of horses on yard? 25 What is your YO like? Thinks she knows best about everything - yes she is knowledgeable, but there are certain things I don't like about the way she runs the yard, but woah betide anyone expressing opinions... Facilities? Good - 40x60 sand school, good storage, good boxes, good off-road hacking Hacking? Good - on farm on which the yard is situated, hence mostly off-road Monthly rent? £110 not including feed or hay (for grass livery) 24/7/365 turnout allowed? Yes Fencing type? Post and electric tape Own field or shared? Shared - fields of mares or geldings, 5-8 in each field Field shelters? No Bedding/hay/haylage available? Yes, although I don't need them! Extra jobs available if you need them done? Yes Close to other horsey things e.g shops, xc courses, competitions? Runs occasional comps during summer, otherwise a distance from any Lorry/trailer storage? Cost? Yes, but I don't know prices Your top 3 pros/reasons you like your yard? Other liveries are good people, pony has a lovely herd, sand based fields which means no mud in the winter! Any cons/things you would change? Can't stand (and don't trust) the member of staff, who therefore isn't allowed anywhere near my pony, it is seriously frowned upon if you arrange with another livery to do each others horses when you can't, would prefer the ponies not to get haylage over the winter - most are very good doers, and become very silly on the haylage, but YO won't do hay for them...
