Are there any rescues or private homes who can take a staffy or staffy cross please? Doris Banham Dog Rescue (http://dogsos.co.uk/) are trying to get 9 staffy type dogs off death row. Time is running very short. Doris Banham are totally full up and can't accomodate them, but their volunteers can transport them anywhere in the country. Full story and details at: rescuepet.orgPlease help if you can

I really hope they find good homes. It's so sad that so many Staffies end up in rescue centres. The ones I know are really lovely dogs.

No room at the inn I'm afraid. I'd love to have added another staffy to our pack but we just don't have the space.

Sheli,
I don't think they are dog friendly unfortunately. Because they are in a pound and not a rescue centre, they haven't been fully assessed.
Any fosters would have to eaither have no other dogs or to be sure they can keep the foster staffie seperate, at least at first.
Many thanks to all who have tried to help. I know Trudie has had some offers in the last 24 hours and we are trying to work out a solution for each of the dogs.
Please keep the offers of help coming in, because there are still at least 5 dogs without somewhere to go yet.

No - the rescue is asking for foster homes and rescue places. No fees involved and transport can be arranged. For fosters, the dogs would be rehomed on from the foster home, or the fosterer can later arrange to adopt if things are working out well and they want to keep the dog.
Are you able to help?

Poor lad has clearly been beaten up and is so traumatised he is emotionally numb. Apparently he just stands there, looking sad and not wagging his tail. Fortunately, I just heard that a lady with a boarding kennel is going to take him. Apparently she really looks after her dogs and gives them a really nice time. Hopefully Winston will get his spirit back with good care and a lot of love.

I am so pleased Winston is ok, I am sure with some TLC he will learn to love and be happy again. I really hope the rest find homes too. Sadly this is the future of this breed beacuse of over breeding, I wish there was more that could be done. Sheli
