Wow - that's wonderful maxim! I assume you emailed Trudie direct? Please bear with her if she doesn't reply immediately. She is having a V stressful day trying to work out plans and logistics. I am trying to help her out with admin, appeals, ringing round etc.
If you could PM me your name, I will know who it is when Trudie mentions you. Then I can tell her you are one of the lovely people from the DG!
Please feel free to call me if you would like: 01590 624731

Up for these dogs.. and wishes for a better life. We have probelms in Barnsley at the moment that I am not allowed to make public, but dogs anywhere need a chance. I just want tighter legislation on breeding full stop.

Thank you jackiedo.
There seems to be a massive problem with abandoned and abused staffies at the moment. I have been calling loadsss of staffie rescues and general dog rescues. They are mostly hugely overcrowded and having problems getting them rehomed.
Many commented on the problem with too much breeding and the wrong homes buying puppies. One mentioned that some staffies are being bought and stolen for fighting or for fight bait. It's a shocking state of affairs. We are meant to be a nation of dog lovers, but that seems to just be a small minority.
Some good news though. A rescue in the south has agree to take two of the staffie girls, another one is going to a lady with kennels who can work with him (that poor lad is very traumatised by abuse), one has gone to another rescue. So that leaves five without a solution yet, but there have been some potential offers of help.
It looks like we are going to be able to save most of them. Please keep the help and prayers coming!

Up for the staffies.
Unfortunately I already have two dogs so wouldn't be able to take one. I have a wonderful Staffie Cross, my gorgeous girl Ruby. She's so full of character loves everyone and lets our little Jack Russell totally rule the roost. She's also the most diplomatic and friendly dog I've ever had, gets on with all the other dogs in the park and will give up her ball willingly to any other dog that's even slightly dominant.
I so hope these Staffies find new homes.

The rescue operation for these dogs is going miraculously well. We have managed to find rescue places for almost of all of them now. Some I won't know about til tomorrow, so please keep your fingers crossed and prayers going out.
The rescue org responsible has an opportunity to have a stall at a steam show in Cambridge this weekend. It would be a valuable opportunity for them to keep open. The problem is, there is no-one available to operate and staff it. Apparently the rescue can provide leaflets and resources for the stall. Is there anyone here that would be willing to help out running the stall?

When I look round the stray Kennels her, the largest group of dogs are SBT/PBT or crosses. It is so sad
