Hi, thanks for all your kind words... I'm much better now after the ectopic....
I had the vet out a few days ago... firstly Rose, she has a slight twist in her off fore, but vet reckons nothing that is going to prevent her from having fun and being ridden... he has asked me to have front shoes put on her, he said her soles are very close to the ground and they may be why she seems a little unbalanced on her front legs..
I had the vet look at Tila and sound her lungs again, although she hasnt coughed or had a runny nose in such a long time... I couldnt believe it!! he said she was completely normal!! I'm over the moon with her, infact she is so healthy now and full of life that it hard to believe she is 22.. anyway, I decided the other night to try some tack on her, she was absolutely fine with it... although she does trust me 110%, I no she is still wary of others... so ... last night I decided to see what her reaction would be to me edgeing myself onto... which I did, she was fine, a little uptight, but ok, so I just decided at the last minute to sit on her and see how she would be, I walked around on her for about 5 mins, and she was fine, a bit nervous but the circumstances were nice and calm and she seemed quite pleased with herself... so I brought her back in and left it at that... its difficult when you dont know anything about them at all, especially when there old... I wouldnt want to do much with her, but if I thought she would enjoy a nice hack then that would be ok, and I think good for her to come away from Rose for a short while...
I also have started mouthing Rose, she isnt easy, and I think shes going to be quite flighty and def a little cheaky, but she is coming on great and I hope to have her backed before the end of june... I got a round pen!! so whoo hoo..!!
so I'll try and get someone to take a pic of me onboard Tila... shes in great condition, feet, coat and general well-being is 110%... hard to believe really...
