agh! raging thunder storm stopping connection. Edited to add we have another firm offer of a home already. emw. Yep! Think it best that with EMWs experience of rehoming that they should be responsible for placing Cybelle - she will need some tlc and they can keep an eye on her.

I know I wont settle until everything is in place BUT for the moment everyone involved a huge round of applause!! Could we have a quiet think and see what we could do if we kept fundraising going? I know alot of people out there are strapped for cash but if we all did something small that would build up a lot of money.

yes please bare in mind that theres now enough to buy her we still need to hit the £1000 target as to cover costs to bring her home to the UK.

The Nouvelle Vie suggested I post on her thread if any of their members wanted to participate. Is that OK from this end do you think?

It was me hogging Trinas phone! Yippee! I have been and paid for the younger percheron (Lancia) is saved I am arranging transport to go and collect her asap athough looks like it will be sometime next week but at least she is safe!
I can confirm (as I saw them this morning) that the older one (Cybelle) has been chipped and we even checked her number today! and she has all her identification paperwork.
You guys are wonderful I can't believe you got the money together so quickly.

Right good news HAve spoken to Wofford International Transport they are very willing to help us. They will collect any horses at 300 pounds with no VAT. Can collect next Monday and bring them straight back to UK. They will sort out all the paperwork for export and imports so we dont have to worry. They will even handle the payment side for us if we dont want to send large amounts of cash abroad. Wofford International are actually a horse rescue themselves thats why they are so helpful - see their website - have very impressive lorries. Great. If we want to speak to them we need to speak to David, who I spoke to, Karen or Chris.

can anyone stump up the cash and be reimbursed? I could only do this via transfer from a credit card, not sure how long that would take?

I don't have the cash immediately available and I don't trust my bank with overseas transfers after the last one! But like Melissa, if it would help, I could do a credit card transfer to make funds available until the charity account money becomes available.
If Wofford International - who must be thanked for their generous discount re transport - are willing to help organise payment would they accept a credit card payment from one of us?

we have £835.00 ;D now we only have £165 to raise until we reach the £1000 target. The £1000 pays for her purchase and her transport.
yes we still need to work out how to get funds to the owner to secure her.
