I am bemused as to why it seems no one has donated any money to the Just Giving website especially created for these poor horses in France. So many people have replied to threads etc saying they would be happy to help/donate so why does EMW have no money?? It is a tragedy if there is a home waiting for this mare and no one will help to get her over here! I am happy to donate and have pm'd emw saying this. SO PLEASE COME ON HELP OUT BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!! ITS HER ONLY CHANCE. www.justgiving.com/chanellieThank you for reading. x

Thanks Melissa for posting this. I can only say yes do and I'm right off to donate myself. Sorry for the 'sob story' but this mare - at the age of 17 and having obviously been 'used' because she is a registered mare - is facing a LONG and uncomfortable journey, if she gets there alive it will be to the meat-man. I know loads are being taken for meat, I can't agree with it but my main issue here is the hell she will have to go through before coming to that end. I'm going to get on to ILPH... I guess the more people there are fightuing this, the more chance of things changing, one day, but it'll be too late for this lady.

Melissa
I've emailed the mods to see if they will make this thread 'sticky' I hope that's the right term, to keep it at the top to make it easy for people to find and help.
Can you edit your original post with the correct link which someone else has added in to your thread? I've no idea how you do that but apparently you can.
I'm sure that EMW said that anyone who donates on their own 'just giving' site can state that the funds are to go towards the percheron mare.

Roz, really anything is everything :-) it's a step in the right direction, the French have a saying 'qui n'avance pas recule' (if you're not moving forwards you're moving backwards), so just from me for what it's worth (ie not much probably :-) ) thanks for helping things move forwards!

Lucy, that's really kind of you. The last horse I donated to on here was Manny, I must have a thing for European horses!
I saw that the home with Smudge has fallen through, does EMW have a home ready for this mare?

Melissa I'm sure that EMW said that anyone who donates on their own 'just giving' site can state that the funds are to go towards the percheron mare. Soldier thats right. the link ive supplied would be better for many people id imagine as you can see the target and whats been raised - whats left to go. its up to each person which one they use
