hi holli - i would take it that it hasnt gone through, maybe a digit was wrong on the card? could you try again? the thank you message is probably just a standard one that comes up as soon as a donation is submitted without being accepted. hope that makes sense?? melissa x

Regarding transport information just in from professional transporter.
Regards the paperwork! DEFRA Chelmsford with all due respect are not DEFRA Dover!!! Defra Dover are impounding any horse without passports!
The just impounded 50 odd horses that flew in from argentina and landed in france an got to Dover to find the 5 horses papers were not acceptable so the all of the horses were impounded. This is costing the owners £25 per day per horse so you can see how it adds up!
With the new transport laws it is easy to check all horse lorries for the new certificates that have to be carried to prove that the lorry is a DEFRA Certified lorry.
Any EU horse must have a passport-the triparte agreement between Ireland, UK and France that allows a horse to be transported on just a passport (no export licence required)
I would hate everyone to have worked so hard to get stopped at Dover and extra costs involved!
All us transporters are frustrated with the different DEFRA offices as all of them seem to interpret the rules differently! We go by DEFRA Dover after all they seem to have the end say!
