I hope its not too late, but have only just found this thread and the appeal and consequently have only just donated.
I am totally moved by the whole thing.

Allyny I'm sure there will not be too much, and it's wonderful you care enough to donate :-) and to be honest if there is an 'overflow' - certainly as far as my donation is concerned - it can go towards either care for her or towards other causes, I'm happy for EMW to be judge of that!!
I have just spoken to Karine. Cybelle (17 yr old percheron) is now SAFE. I'll email Elaine re technicalities so as not to bore you all with that :-)
I have more information for Hettie, Star13 and Simone. I can email simone but could hettie and start13 email me on lucy.airs@wanadoo.fr
Regarding making offers for the horses and beating the prices down. There have been questions there as to why it was suggested that people don't try it: this man is a bit 'moody' and a while ago, because people were discussing the price, he suddenly got fed up and sent them all for meat when they had homes for a number of them. This is why Nouvelle vie really aren't too happy for people to do that because it could be jeopardise a number of horse's lives. So for their sake could you please stick to the price that is given? Especially if you are paying cheque, transfer and want an invoice. Yes one or two might beat him down by 50 or 100 euros but he will then come to a point where he's had enough and the next ones will not be given a chance. Sorry if I sound harsh, I'm really only just passing on the reality of it and I know you all understand.

Some of you may have heard the sad news that Peter, a long time supporter of EMW, died recently. There's a thread on Saddle-up www.saddle-up.org.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=177207&hl=I've suggested there that people who want to remember him with a small donation might wish to think of the EMW appeal for Cybelle. Perhaps given that Cybelle is now safe, EMW may wish to recommend how best to give a donation to EMW in memory of Peter - should we continue to ask for donations to the Cybelle fund to be used for the ILPH appeal, or to EMW direct, or a split?

cant wait for her to be safe and out of that farm, i just wish we could save them all, so unfair, so sickening.

I am trying to arrange a photo show to raise funds for EMW winter feed bills. What with a possible hay shortage things might be tight.
I was going to do a car boot, but what with our appalling weather they have all been cancelled.
If anybody wants a schedule please can they PM me?
Thanks.
