Hey. I have sai before, it's your money and you spend it where you want. It is not a debate, you have a right to get involved with any welfare issue you wish to. I have not seen ONE POST defending the disgusting way these horses are transported, and if anyone has had crank calls or nasty PM's they have certainly not come from me, but to say that people who disagree that mass exodus from France to the UK have mush for brains, or do nothing for horse welfare, or do not care for the plight of these animals is insulting. I don't think I have ever sent a deliberately insulting post about this subject, just advised caution and made it clear why I have not got involved.

jackie do I wasnt really commenting on you at all - I never for a moment thought it was you - I have an idea who it is and I think its honestly a more personal thing re a recent issue that occured - so feel safe that unless you have sent people pms commenting on their choices my rant wasnt directed at you! While you have been able to comment and have a reasoned belief many havent - not everyone who disagreed has mush for brains but some do! Thats the way of things im afraid

Well who the heck cares where they are from anyway, if there in trouble and we know about it, then why not help.....I help out SPANA, I mean those donkeys are miles away.....also I have campaigned against the Ringlin Bros Circus, they are also far away in the USA and many other campaigns around the world...these animals need help, they need someone to speak up for them, and I no we can't save the world but I think what we are doing is massive, amazing, generous and caring, to each and every horse that we have saved.......we are making a huge difference, not just life, we're giving them a life of love, food and care...and a permanent home. Wheres the rule that we can only help animals in our own country? I'm so glad this has happened, and I'm proud to be a part of it.

well said tia,and I will add that if anybody with any feelings whatsoever saw how sweet, kind gentle and trusting rose is and the state she is in,the pain that she has suffered at the age of 2,which is plain in her eyes, then they would not turn from her either. This goes for all of them but rose really breaks my heart.I have just been giving her and Tila a massage and they really enjoyed it,wouldnt eat their bran mashes though! bum!!

To be honest I'd love to rescue one, but funds, hubby and time are against me at this time in my life :-/maybe one day I can help to rescue a poor horse whether it's from the UK, France or where ever I choose. No it wont stop this terrible thing going on by us taking them, but the knowledge that you lovely people have helped some of them is enough
