of course jackie im afraid I lost my polite response after the 4th or 5th PM and I was being a bit miffed at the time due to a weird answerphone message I received this morning telling me that I hadnt saved a horse I have caused one unnecessary suffering and she should have been shot when we collected her (obvious horse lover there) We do all differ - I didnt actually respond with anything other than Thanks for your opinion, I understand where you are coming from but we do all differ in our opinions and I really felt that I wanted to help this mare, she's here now so no point worrying about what people think! The horses are here now so like it or not people will have to get over it - its bad enough that everytime we post about the new horses we have to do it on a seperate part of the board so we dont upset those who dont agree with saving lives of horses but now im getting some muppet leaving me crank calls

OMG did someone actually do that Gem? That is disgusting. >:(How dare they. How did they get your number too?
It's really worrying that they are using the forum and have those points of view. Can the admin find the ISP address, because if they can (and they should be able to) they can find out who this person is sending PM's.

Poor Gem! Thats disgusting. One thing that I have to say to all those who criticise and say we should be saving british horses or we are funding the farmer etc,is WHAT ARE YOU DOING THEN??? O BLOODY RIGHTEOUS ONE!!! Because you can bet that its either nothing or very close to.

it pees me off that we have to have a seperate bit for the french horses....not so many people look here and therefore we have missed opportunities. each time i have put something on the general chat it has been taken off and put here!!!! ? doesnt everyone on here want the same thing, regardless of where the poor horses come from?? people have very odd logic.

woah guys!!
Gem, I posted on your other thread, I really think you need to report the voicemails to the police if they get any more than just a plain nuisance
also, guys I think that what you're doing is great and what everyone on this site is doing is great, after all its an intelligent horsemanship site and we're all here for the good of horses whether rescued or not - dont let the minority spoil it for you
I think that this seperate section is a good idea, I personally got lost trying to track the threads on the main board and now I can browse about in some kind of orderly manner (lol!!) perhaps ask the mods to put a sticky on the main board to direct people down here?
Now I haven't got a french rescue horse (I have 6 Uk ones though) and I enjoy reading all the threads and will help if and when I can so please dont exclude people like me who just want to make a difference, no matter how small

To say you shouldn't have bought a French horse, but a Bristish one instead is ridiculous, a horse is a horse wherever in the world it lives (and is suffering)! Did Ally have these problems when Manny was rescued (hope they are the correct names?!) I suspect not!

I think this is the reason Lisa put up her website & forum so that everyone can keep informed

TO THE ONES WHO LOOK AWAY
Its disgusting how a supposedly horse loving forum can turn their backs on these horses.
I may not be able to take one myself at the moment, but I have made sure that my friends have had links to all the forums concerning these horses and asked them to post them where they can.
How the hell can anything be done if we don't intervene? Should we look away because they across the sea?
HORSES CANNOT SPEAK, THEY HAVE NO LANGUAGE.
I know that more needs to be done on live export. I also agree that the dealers and meat men are probably rubbing their hands and laughing at the people who have bought one, BUT imagine that feeling inside your heart when you look into your pasture and see the soul you have saved from imminent death.
We have to look out for ALL equines and of course we do not forget the ones in UK.

Yes,I personally dont judge anyone for not rescuing one of these horses and I do agree that it is of limited use as there are thousands more, but how anybody can actually stand and criticise those of us that have chosen to save one beggars belief when it is supposedly coming from a caring horsey community.
