Get Rose on to something with a probiotic in it. Get her gut working then worm her a week later. Keep her on a probiotic until she starts to eat , a course of 30mdays or even longer to support her gut. Keep meals small and light. worm her with a simple product, panacur paste or strongid P.. she will pick up but it's a long journey back, emw.

hi emw,Thanks for your advice. Rose was really poorly this morning and i had the vet to her.She hasnt been eating, just picking really, but this morning she was colicking and very weak. She has had an antispasmodic injection and is feeling quite a bit better now.I have wormed her with telmin paste on the vets advice as it is quite gentle.I would love to get some probiotics into her,I normally use brewers yeast on a routine basis,my problem is I cant get her to eat anything other than grass at the moment.Any ideas? the vets have taken some blood for testing and will let me know the results soon.

not necessarily but might be easier to add a probiotic to the readigrass. If she'll eat simple systems luciebix and maybe some beetpulp that would be good. Having said that, if the grass is good and she's happy eating it then Dr Green is often the best way forward :-)
