aaahh bless him , he looks a nice horse in there too
mind with the bizarre weather we've had recently it's not surprising youngsters aren't doing as well as owners have hoped

No, you're right - I just get so tired of seeing horses looking poor.
I shouldn't jump to conclusions! I guess more than anything I am amazed that they are showing him to the world in that condition...

I'm very sorry but regardless of the weather, no horse should look like that--------------there is something called "FOOD" that you can give them, that stops them looking half starved.

SS3 I agree! I am taking back what I said about not jumping to conclusions!
If you look at the other horses they are selling they are all painfully thin and some are being ridden and driven!!

The weather making youngsters look poor? God I do wish my youngster would look a bit worse - he's competing with roly poly for the name!!

My lad is half TB and has lived out for the last 2 years. Yes he drops weight when its cold but by upping his hay and food intake he levels back out. That poor chap doesn't look like he's lived out on much.
Makes you wonder if he's had much handling or if he was out with others that wouldn't let him near the feed/hay. You'd think the owners would have bought him in to feed though, especially as the first few years are so important for development etc.

but in all honesty you can't really know the whole story behind the picture, as pupsequeak has said, you don't know when the picture was taken - now my horse dropped off horrendously in April/May as he was just desperate for some decent grazing (stressed winter fields) and the photo of him back then is pretty awful
(despite vet care & adequate feeding (EPSM diet) before anyone jumps)
new grazing and he's a different horse - despite what you're feeding sometimes just decent grass is what is needed - which is exactly what I found with William

To say he's wintered out and going by his breeding i honestly don't think he's that bad.He looks a little wooly on that pic.
Ditto above a bit of feed won't go amiss.
Hope he gets a nice home anyway.
