8-)Sorry, I don't understand. I would say an advert posted of an unregistered, unhandled, half starved youngster professing to be half welsh half TB was typical of a pikey, and as the advert gave a Welsh address What ever has my age got to do with my disgust at such an advert,

Well maybe as you are an adult you would not make such ridiculous and tbh rather pathetic comments about people and now from this reply I can see you have a problem with its breeding! Does it matter? I think you seem to have a problem with people who do not obtain the same opinions as yourself! I mean you obviously are very into showing horses and that some how makes you better than the Welsh 'pikeys' who own this horse 'professing' to be a welsh X TB. So now if a horse is not registered it is therefore owned by a 'pikey' of whom is below you! Half my horses are not registered! Does that make me a 'pikey'!? Maybe it does I mean I'm not a typical show person who has horses to improve my status in society! Many a time on this DG I have seen your childish remarks and tbh they have mad me cringe! P.S I also think the word you are looking for is a gypsy!

I agree, but do think that it may be a good idea to let it go.Sorry, dont mean to sound patronising. I think people sometimes dont think about how they are phrasing things when faced with pics of horses in such a state. Welshcob, click on the link on the first post,it was there?

Oh dear SS3 isnt at all a snob - she just has strong moral views. My TB isnt registered and she loves her - nothing wrong with Gypsies at all but pikeys are in fact different and as someone who spent lots of time with a few local gypsies - they do not like pikeys either!!!

Orange twin I'm not even going to comment on why you say I have horses--------you are so very far from the truth, and you have never met me, or my horses, and as far as I'm concerned you can think of me what you like. However as Gem says a Pikey is NOT a gypsy, nothing like. Real Gypsies are unfortunately very few and far between. Pikeys are travellers of another kind. My remark about this poor colt's breeding stems from the fact that this sort of advertiser professes any kind of breeding he thinks may be fashionable, but oddly can never provide evidence of the sire and dam. Look at the advert and read his comments re handling, experience with farrier etc. it says it all. Also I would point out that this advertiser is blaming a hard winter on the condition of this poor animal. It IS now August.
