Its a shame those thugs don't get what poor Maggie had to put up with. Well done Davina, i think alot of people would have given up, you didn't!! Hope you can find some peace now.

As a police officer of 28 years i am sad to say that their sentence is actually better than i had expected. But its over now and maggie's mermory will live on in any campaign that succeeds in getting the courts to recognise that harming animals any animal in this way is the same as harming a human and sentencing should be recognised as the same for all living things.
For davina i hope she finds some peace now and now that justice has been seen to be done she will find comfort in knowing that she was the best mum maggie ever had, and those 19 years were the best years ever.
Also though, and just as important is that there was nothing she could have done to have prevented what happened to maggie, nothing at all! and she has done everything to find justice which every mother would do when the one they have loved has been taken from them so cruely. Bless you Davina and may your good memories soon make you smile and prevail.

And we're all well aware of how pitiful the sentences for atrocities against humans are too. I wouldn't have your job in exchange for the world Dunoon unless archaic laws were changed! We can only hope that people will sit up and listen. For davina i hope she finds some peace now and now that justice has been seen to be done she will find comfort in knowing that she was the best mum maggie ever had, and those 19 years were the best years ever. hang in there davina - we shall all remember her always and forever. i'm sure that nobody who has heard or read about this will ever forget, even if they aren't involved with horses.

I just found this thread. Words will never be enough to heal your pain, but hopefully one day it will ease. I will certainly never forget this. Here's to Davina and Maggie, who I'm sure is waiting at Rainbow Bridge for you to arrive. xxx
