Had my lesson to day and Stafford decided to have one on him, he kept napping in the school at some jumps. He tries it on everytime, today he decided to keep spinning and tried to buck me off. My instructor gives me so much confidence and tells me how to handle it exactly, she keeps talking. So today I decided to keep thinking I ain't bovered, I stared straight past the offending objects and kept repeating I ain't bovered in that voice! And it works, no jelly legs, I did that everytime and no more napping, I stayed totally relaxed. Last year he would of had me off, I finally feel like my confidence is back and it feels soooooooo good!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thankyou , I think he plays up because his sharer has trouble with him doing exactly the same thing and my instructor thinks she just schools him away from the spooky end, so everytime he does it he gets rewarded by not going there. Once he worked out I was going to keep making him go past it and just sit there very relaxed he went past no trouble, he is not a horse to bully, he is 18.2hh and you don't want to argue with that! I love him to bits, I am just so chuffed my confidence is coming back since stopping riding to have children ;D

He certainly has a presence, and almost always the biggest horse. I didn't want one this big, I was looking for a 16.2hh but he was at a friends yard and the owner was selling him because he was boring! Just what I needed! ;D I watched a video of him first then tried him out so many times, he was a gentle giant. However, after I brought him I discovered he takes his confidence from the rider, and is as bold as a lion if the rider is. Any hint of hesitation and he picks up on it, so as the saying goes,Am I bovered! Chillin
