Quite honestly, I really have seen horses of this size, type & experience go for well under £2k in this area. If you were talking about something which was further along in schooling, had a known show record, bred by or from something with a good show record, or something else to lift it up a bit, then fair enough, the higher price, but from what we've seen & been told about this horse at this point, I stand by my valuation.

This is my sister horse otto, 16 hh traditional cob. We've been looking as i said for nearly two years to find another of this stamp. the most promising one that i can find is a gelding on horsemart he's two and priced @ 2.5k no offers. I'm Just north of Nottingham and am happy to travel for the right horse, I really am struggleing to find one let alone buy one. As you can see the one above does endurance and belive it or not is the most awsome ride for this. What we have found with the smaller cobs is that they just don't have the ability to cover ground in the same way that this chap can. If anyone can help in finding a similar horse at a reasonable price then please let me Know. I can find them upto 15.1 but not that little bit bigger.

I had an email today from a dealer having a 'horse clearout' including cobs, all under £2000, but I deleted it and can't remember the name of the place - did anyone else get that email?

I've found it, it was Horse Imports, who most people won't go near with a bargepole after their 'online auction of horses', but if you REALLY know what you are doing, it may be worth a look (not that I advocate supporting dodgey bussinesses though ) Their website is here: www.online-24-seven.com/

Thanks, Cubic I do keep intouch with David in hope that he will one day have what I'm looking for. Again he has plenty of cobs upto 15.1, but not that bit bigger. I'm starting to convince myself that Otto was just a [glow=red,2,300]freak[/glow] of nature!!!! lol

Hi mags, i would in fact prefer a gelding. I have a few friends that bred/ deal this type of horse and not one of them have yet found me one.
I'm not to far from you so perhaps if you stumble upon one you'd be good enough to let me know.
I really can't tell you how hard I've been trying to find one at reasonable money.
Thanks Cubic

buy her, she looks nice. And as you broke her and she hasnt been ridden since you know she hasnt been knackered up by poor riding and non fitting saddles.
im envious, but mine are already enough.

Are you keeping an eye on your local Ad-Trader? I found two of mine through ads in there.

Is the current preference in the coloured world now towards horses with minimal colouring and mostly white? as my idea of a well marked coloured is mostly coloured with not much white! Although looking at the bigger picture, if this mare is what you are looking for manners and temperament wise her colouring is irrelevant. At that price i think it would be a shame not to buy her as she looks like she would make a nice all-rounder.

yeh, I'd spotted him to and not a bad price, what had put me off was that he looks like he will be sway backed. I'm no light weight myself and wouldn't want to cause him further problems.
The yearling I've tried getting in touch about with no joy, then got side tracked and forgot about him. Will try again and see,,,,
Not worried what colour, but do like a nice coloured. would just like a good old fashioned H/W with fur balls for feet.
I would ideally want 16-16.2.
Thanks mags
