i would like to say how very sad i was to learn of the death of Chris Jones ,my nephew Chris Ambler was racing later that day in the metabo supersport, and when anything like this happens it affects everyone very deeply,i think they are all so brave and talanted to go out and race, our thoughts are with his family its so tragic, i know my sister wants her son to stop racing but its his life, he loves it , its so very hard to cope with when you lose someone you love,

what a tragic thing to happen, my ex husband worked at Cadwell for many years and saw some horrible accidents, all the staff involved at the race track are always deeply affected. But evey time he would come home in deep depression I would asked him about biking or racing and he would always reply 'its in the blood, after you first ride round the track your addicted. It no different or more dangerous then you riding your horse'. He was right if we always worried about the danger we would miss out on so much.

Bridge - The Independent on Sunday ran a profile on Chris yesterday in one of the supplements, and inside the main paper they had put up a column saying that Chris had been tragically killed but they'd decided to run his profile anyway.
I'd be very happy to send them to you if you'd like them.

I'll tell you why the BBC got it wrong, most journalists are lazy. And quite a few are drunkards. It's amazing if they get your name and age right.
Very sorry to hear of this loss too young...
