Really sorry about moggy :-( Mine is at the vet's at the moment, she had her thyroid out yesterday but during the op she nearly died and they also discovered she has kidney damage. Really really hope your cat gets her nerve back in her leg and can get better. Must be very difficult to think she may have to be put to sleep when she's purring away. Thinking about you, best of luck xxxxxx

Lots of good thoughts for both moggies. Its horrid when they are ill or have had an accident.

Don't loose hope! When our kitten Elby was 6 months old she was hit by a car, and although hardly had a mark on her, she had received a huge blow to her head. The vet wanted to have her PTS as he couldn't see any improvement - although I could see a slight response in her each time I visited.
In the end, after 5 days at the vet, they let us bring her home to say goodbye - I literally had to tell them I would bring her back to the surgery the next morning to have her PTS!
Well - she was in a dreadful way - unco-ordinated, blind, and very confused. She had not been for a wee or a poo at the vet's and had to be on a drip.
Within a few hours she had reacted to the sound of the cat flap (we had another cat) and found her way to the kitchen (through 2 rooms) to the food bowl and started eating!! By the next morning she had used the litter tray we put next to her.
Vet couldn't believe it. We still think of her as a bit of a miracle!
Here's a photo of her now - she has regained sight in one eye and lives a completely normal life. ;DWill be keeping everything crossed for you and your cat.

So sorry to hear about your cat, but they do have remarkable abilities to come back from quite amazing injuries - obviously being home for Sarah's cat was the 'catalyst' (sorry for the pun) to get better. Fingers crossed for you! Ps Sarah love the pic!

Thanks Kerrylee, I've shrunk it now as It was a bit invasive. I have just posted a pic of another nutty animal in our family on thread re dog smiling! Bella smiles when you stroke her in front of her ears - I can't be the only one on here with eccentric animals.
