Rosemary Hannah - you will just have to say "small is beautiful" and make do with that! We'll get our magnifying glasses out.
What a shame that Jacob "turned off" this time and didn't give a good show for you. At least Jonesy turned up trumps so you came home with a decent rosette. Is that "it" for shows this season now? Our local show is this weekend, but Tam is away so we shan't be taking any of ours up there this year.
Ann NF - What a star Ginger is. I don't know what any of my lot would make of tents and Boy Scouts . . . Certainly Wisht Hounds in the flesh would NOT go down well with mine. In the same league as men on bikes those . . .
My rested grazing looks wonderful at the moment and definitely potention "foggage" but once I start to strip graze it, what is there will disappear in very quick order I don't doubt. If I so much as move the electric fence to allow a few inches of fresh grazing, the next morning it is bare and brown.
Carol Wilts - how is Mara's head now? Hope she just bumped it and didn't do any lasting damage. It's a pain when they are difficult to load. I can remember when I used to instruct for Hursley Pony Club. As I had to put the jumps away etc, one family was somewhat conspicuous by their lingering with a less than co-operative pony, who had NO intention of loading for them. They were the last to leave the rally, but we finally got the pony in - too many years ago to remember how, but certainly non-IH methods in those days (crossed lunge reins probably).
Oh dear - your OH sounds like he has a similar mindset to mine. When I came home with Barney he scarcely spoke to me for weeks and still tries to give him away to my friend Deb whenever she calls (she has a soft spot for him, and 3 just like him at home). He counts the cost of keeping and feeding animals too. Mine will at least muck out for me if I am in extremis, and is capable of bring Fahly in or turning him out if I'm not here, and can notice things like obvious lameness etc.
I've been thinking of Hazel this week, and have all my digits crossed that their offer was accepted on that yard in Wilts. Can't remember when it is she comes back from holiday.
Nikki - are you still there too?

Maybe we should start a new thread? Is five pages enough? See you on number 23........
