What beautiful riding country Carol, and I love photos taken from horseback. We soon hope to have a day out walking at Worth Matravers, on the Dorset coast. Lots of very visible strip linchetts there, which is how the village got its name. They must have been very hard strips to work on some of the steep hillsides.
Nikki - Hazel is on holiday at Disneyworld in Florida, so will be absent for a few more days. They decided to go away on a family holiday before they hopefully buy an equestrian establishment . A good plan as it is not easy to leave houses with horses for too long.
I have noticed a few "bleeped out" words on the new DG and wonder if we are in the hands of very politically correct puritans ( it is an American website provider) ? I`m all for getting rid of offensive and rude words a la `Orrible Nons , but Offa`s Dyke is going a bit far!
Hello Yann, nice to see you. I rode Rowan again on Thursday, at Sarahs. He is coming on very well . Hope you will be able to meet up with us again when you next come down to Southampton.
Jennie, I`m sorry Fahly`s leg is swollen . Hope a day or rest will sort him out.
A huge buzzard has just swooped down over Flaky`s and Hamlet`s backs. Probably doing its bit to keep the rabbit population down.

Carol, thanks for all your help, and advice, and I have promptly deleted my first posting on the other Wakey! So, now I think we'll have to have a code to get round the 'words that can't be used' mode, which is what happened in my earlier post this morning, so I'll just tell you now, where there is a whole lot of %&$@* and whatnot, it rhymes with mocky, and the second one, mocking, get it?!! And what a beautiful place you ride in, how absolutely lovely, lucky you! I also have lovely places to go in, but right now riding is out as it's too hot, so everyone is on 'hold' for a while. Right, I'm off, before I make any more of a fool of myself today!

Beautiful beautiful pony tl - I'm feeling much more positive about Highlands than usual today :-) Now I wonder how picky this bowdleriser is? I have a freind who lives in Scunthorpe - that is actually true, and some of these things pick her addy out...
Beautiful beautiful afternoon - needless to say the morning was freezing. We've not really had enough rain, but I really do not want it on Wednesday. I am no end chuffed with my top - I've more than somewhat maessed the pattern around - first time I've dared since the ex left. He was the pattern-and-cutting whiz. I've spent afternoon dress amking, but it is peaceful and engrossing, so I'm not complaining. Still have a fair deal to do, however.

Yes Yann, Rowan is still a steady one and very friendly too. Obviously still green but trying hard and whoever buys him will get a dear and very special pony. He is on the DG For Sale section now. See you soon :0)
Rosemary - I have an elderly Aunt who lives in a village ten minutes from Scunthorpe. Her husband used to work in the steel works. Now surely this silly website is not going to worry about that? I remember one of the earlier Net Nanny type programmes used in schools was also very puritanical. You could not type in Essex or Sussex without it being censored....

Hi everyone. Well, new dog is here...Timber, he's HUGE, and still only just over a year old. He's very sweet natured to the point of being a bit timid, but really affectionate, if he thinks he's being told off he puts his paws over his eyes. He's a bit underweight, OH spent last evening looking up weight-gain recipes for dogs, there are loads, involving minced beef, cottage cheese, eggs, sardines and molasses. Mmmm, tasty!! Then he discovered that Inuit dogs have quite sensitive digestions, and all their meals must contain 50% fat, as I went off to bed he was looking for whale blubber on the 'net.......yuck... I'll try and post some piccy's of Timber today, he really is an amazing dog.
Talking of piccy's, Rosemary, do we get to see a piccy of you in your outfit? Go on, give us a twirl !
I'm a bit concerned about the security, or lack of it, at my new yard at the moment. There's a gang of hard-bitten lads wandering around the village just below my place, it being the summer hols I see them all the time. They are generally mullering about on street corners drinking and looking shifty. A few times recently they've seen me in the landy, and there have been mutterings of "gypsy" and "ponies" as I've driven by, and my place is only 10 minutes walk from the village. You know how you just get a feeling? I felt really uneasy as we drove by them last night. There's a farmhouse next to the far end of my place but they only have one small window that looks out over the fields. I think I'm going to have to get a CCTV camera warning sign, if not an actual camera. Tess is still a monkey to be caught so she'd be safe, but Rups always thinks everyone just goes to see HIM, like royalty, he wanders up to anyone. I'm looking into the possibility of putting in a wind generator at the yard. There's no power there at all, and my landlord won't pay out to have a line put in. Does anyone here have one? Are they efficient? Think I'll have swift search round the 'net and see what I can find out. C x

Carol. what a lovely dog, congratulations!! I am interested in the 'weight-gaining' recipes FOR DOGS, (god, for me, hardly!) My Pablo is very thin, and I think in the summer months eating takes second to anything. Where abouts on the net did your OH find these?
Jay, Hi, you have lovely photo's too! and is that a lamb lying by the fire?!!!!!
