Didn't get to tolt...or maybe i did, wouldn't know what the tolt felt like if it smacked me in the face!!! I rode a little Icelandic called Stormur (think that's how you spell it, has been sold now, but still lives there as a livery) He was lovely, a real sweetheart!

Hello everyone in Scotland. I have not long joined the Discussion Group but have been an IH member for over a year. I live in Perthshire and am lucky to own 2 beautiful coloured Irish Cobs. Has anyone been on any IH Courses? I have been on a few now and am looking to possibly attempt Stage 2.
Alice.

Hi tl, I have loads of pics but don't know how to post them on? Reading your previous messages I see you live in Orkney. My Hubby and I relocated to Thurso in the middle of last year - he got a new job. Unfortunately the job wasn't so good and we came back to Perthshire in November. I would love to visit Orkney as with all the other Islands. What colour is your Highland? I have ridden a number of Highlands - they are really good fun, a real alrounder! My 2 cobs are on the heavy side - cross clydsdales - a tri and a piebald. I will post some pics of them when I find out how.

'Morning Alice. Beautiful day here with us. The water is palest blue and so is the sky and there isn't a cloud to be seen anywhere. A great skein of geese have just flown by, and the grass is white with frost. Melody is yellow dun and a pretty lass. She's with my daughter at present, and will be covered by the young stallion in the Spring. She carries nice old blood lines and it would be good to have a filly to carry them on. Where abouts in Perthshire are you? My favourite county. Can understand you leaving Thurso . Did you also find it a bit bleak? Putting pictures up is a perenial query. There's a good how to do it somewhere amongst the archival threads. Stick up a request, it will probably come good. No use me trying to talk you through it. OH puts mine on for me!

Its a beautiful day here too - just really cold -8 just now. Your mare sounds beautiful - what are her bloodlines. There are a number of studs around in Perthshire. At the moment we are in rented accommodation on a country estate just outside Coupar Angus. We sold our beautiful wee property in Meikleour in August last year - when we moved to Thurso.

Hi I live just 30 miles north of Inverness - Easter Ross. Have a young CB x TB who is proving to be a very intelligent.. which I keep with a friend's horse and pony. I did my foundation Aug 05 and have just done the psychology course too.

Were you were on the Psychology course I was on - It was Jan 7 & 8? No the one after.. just missed .. I'm on the leading and loading and untouched horse 18th - 21st March ... not really because I need it but couldn't resist booking more IH courses after the foundation! Think I'm going to gently work towards the MRPCH.

I haven't booked anymore courses. I would like to have done Leading and Loading etc but they are all fully booked.
Do you drive down to the courses? I thought I had a long journey! Where about in Easter Ross do you live?

No I fly down (sleazy jet) and rent a mini.. works out cheaper and less knackering than driving..

Have you had the opportunity to practice any of what you have learned on the courses?

Sleazy jet, lol Zuzan! Hi there!
Hi Alice. Been a dreary old weather day with us. Back to raw grey. Never mind, the sunshine was wonderful while it lasted.
You will fing Melly on my daughters web site Lochlands Highland Ponies. There are some pictures of her there.
