There was only me and some of my friends who were there just in case no-one else turned up! We had a good horsey chat though!!! Is it a bad time of year or does no-one want a get together here?

Hi all, sorry but I neglected to look at this thread for ages and missed that you had arranged to meet up. If you arrange another one I'll try and make, and if Jill has the bbq then I'll definately be there!! In fact, Jill I still need to visit your yard - unfortunately I think it's going to be a little too far away from me to move Spirit there!
Also, who does everyone use for an equine dentist? I need to have Spirit checked I think.

Hi Matt, I wondered where you were, no probs if it's too far away just come and visit anyway. How are you at doing a BBQ, and have you got a portable one?? I'm looking for a victim (sorry volunteer) to do that part of it, as I'm pretty clueless. I used Robin Harding to do horses teeth last year, he comes from Oswestry way I think but he is quite keen to get more in this area. I was quite impressed and some others on the DG were too - 01948 830365 AND KEEP AN EYE ON THIS THREAD!!!!

Sorry, never done a bbq before!! I wouldn't like to be responsible for poisoning everyone I'm afraid!
Have you heard of a Dave Futter? He's the dentist that is coming out to my neighbouring yard next week.
I'll definately visit your yard - I saw the photo of your barn on another thread and it looks amazing! My cousin is also looking for a new yard too. She used to be in Gnosall but then moved house and so now her horse is in Burlington (near Weston Park). I told her about your yard on the A41 and she'd like to see it too. How's the hacking over there?

Not brilliant I'm afraid - I have the A41 on one side and another fairly main road on the other, and you have to cross them to get anywhere. There are a few rides off road once you have crossed them though. If I get enough paying customers I'm thinking about having a menage installed, but that's in the future. Never heard of Dave Futter - be interested in how he does. See you when you can get over - Sat morning's a good time, others are usually there then too.

Dave Futter is very good, very calm and quiet. Even Ash let him do her teeth and Ash never lets anyone near them normally! I was dubious about him to start with (before I met him) as I was told that he didn't want the owners being there but that was just the person who booked him being slightly difficult I think. Anyway, he was perfectly happy about me being in the stable with each of mine and did their teeth without a halter on them with no problems.

Well, Dave Futter let us down at the last minute (and I mean last minute too).
Who else do Shropshire people use?
