Had a fab day. My hubby, my mum and I went over to our friend's place where we keep Bobby for breakfast. Then OH and mum came home by car and my friends and I rode over to our house through the green lanes for Buck's Fizz at our place. It was GREAT! Only thing Bobby spooked at was a bird singing in the hedge, otherwise he was very settled bless him. (And you never know, it could have been one of those birds which eat horses, couldn't it)!!!
The Christmas ride was another fab milestone in what has been such a good year. Not out of the woods yet, but nervous rider and spooky horse are really starting to get their acts together and we are going to get there. Got home blissed out to a fabulous lunch then ate too many chocolates, played the Buzz DVD game, drank a few too many glass of alcohol and woke this morning all excited about going riding again. Hic!

Sadly I didn't have the best of days. One of my cats had to be rushed to the vets and put on a drip. He had some of a ham sandwich I had on thursday and neither or us have been well since. So I spent the whole day feeling really sick, worrying about Jessie and I couldn't go on the Christmas ride because my toe is strapped up following an op three weeks ago!

;DWell i had a brillant ride on my heifer Misty. She hates traffic and i took Christmas day to be the ideal quite time for a walk around the village. We did a bit of jogging as we passed drain covers, signposts, people in their gardens, wheelie bins, statues but she was such a brave girl. (She's been out in a field for 12 years having babies!) So shes out of touch with the real world. Couldn't have done it without my daughters unflapple pony walking out with us wondering what all the fuss was about though. Thats another little milestone crossed. Just the fear of puddles, motorbikes, lorries, tractors, carry bags, cyclists, joggers and men with cameras to go.........

I had a good day and on my way to the stables, the roads were SO SO SOOOOOO quiet! I thought about hacking out, it would be great just going ANYWHERE you wanted without worrying about traffic! But sadly i didnt have time So maybe next year

I had a lovely day too. Was up the yard at 6.30 to give all the horses the carrots Santa had left for them, fed them changed rugs and turned out. Di mine and my friends stables all ready for evening stables, then went to my brothers for an hour to exchange pressies, then home and chilled out for the rest of the day, got lovely pressies, texts and phone calls from close friends it was fab. And my friend returned the compliment and did Sulas rugs and feed last night, which allowed me to have a very large G and T whilst preparing my lunch and a small bottle of wine with it.

Hope you and puss cat are feeling better now Berylsmum. I had a great day until I started cooking. It was so sunny that I stayed with the horses until about 1.30, grooming, doing a bit of liberty with Fin. That was lovely. Then I went home and produced a stunning roast, loads of perfect yorkshires, crispy spuds and a bit of beef like shoe leather... Man said it was lovely and he was quite happy being a veggie for the day ;D
