I've bookmarked it so I can find this thread again. Maybe we need to have a quick check back in the early summer to see how we are getting on

Endurance training going well so far. Entries done for first couple of rides. MA studies only a week behind! And have only been in the office beyond 6pm once so far....! I'm not sure I want to put this in writing in case I jinx it.... but I have two Marjorie goals for 2014: 1. show her at the Devon county show. 2. ride her at the golden horseshoe and in a 65km endurance ride. For myself, I just want to carry on with my MA studies and not work so hard at the office.

Looking good Arabiangem. Great to have got your entries in already. I'll come along and give you a cheer if you decide to do the Red Dragon. That's it Troop, and that's about as far as I've got....... I now have a book, and have bought one of these MP3 thingies on ebay, so can now download some lessons. Welsh is really hard to learn, it's different between North Wales and South Wales, and then there's the dreaded mutations - however I think it's a great exercise for my ageing brain cells, even if I don't get very far! I'd love to be able to understand the Welsh commentary on S4C from the Royal Welsh and the Winter Fair. The English subtitles leave a great deal unsaid. Nos da.

nearly 4 weeks in to my New Year's resolutions: I've lost half a stone of the 2 stone that has to come off, and am already feeling better for it. Will climb on a horse again when the first stone is off. Eddie has taken to flyball like the proverbial duck to water and if his mum (me) was a bit better with her timing and positioning we'd be even better! But I've met lots of new people and am having a lot of fun. I've joined Rock Choir and it is FABULOUS. Again met lots of lovely new people, and guess what - have signed up to sing with the choir on July 13th at the Bridgwater Hall in Manchester - very scary, but something great to aim for. Have done 3 RDA sessions and am settling into the routine now. It is lovely to see how really quite mentally disabled people get so much pleasure from being on horseback. So, early days, but am still on track and feel that my life has regained a bit of routine and focus that seemed to have slipped away.
