Goals are to travel more, change careers aka decide what I want to be when I grow up, and weigh less than my intern (who is a dude, btw). I have some difficult decisions to make, but its time I made them.
I'd like to get some better polish on my horse's training, and think its time to put sheep/cattle dog trialing aside for while.
Blah, blah, blah...

I am to be an aunty 4 times this year So I am hoping for 4 healthy babies & obviously the good health of Rory to continue. I also hope to get my back fixed (ongoing for 2 years now) and if I can then hopefully I can get riding fit again and get Ori out and about. I plan on getting back on my feet and moving into my own place again, if i get that done I'll be happy. Heres hoping health and good fortune for all this year.

Congratulations Jenny!
My life is such a calamity act at the moment I'll consider it a bonus if things just don't get worse.

I'm going to try to wind my clock back to 2007. That was the year before I started with a succession of major injuries. So, I've joined a local weight loss group starting next Friday with the aim of losing the 2 stone that has piled on in the last 7 years, and have already started circuit training on a once a week basis to get me moving again. My 18 month old Lurcher/border terrier, Eddie is going to try out Flyball, starting this coming Sunday, so hopefully he and I will really enjoy that, and it will get me meeting some new people not connected with horses - always a good thing when your job and hobby are both equestrian!
I'm trying out a session with the local Rock Choir - I like a bit of a sing, but can't read music, so hopefully this might be up my street, and again will get me meeting some new people outside of my equestrian buddies.
I've also volunteered to help out with the Mid-Cheshire RDA. This has been on my things to do list for a while so the forms are now in and will be starting in a couple of weeks time.
This is all because, despite the fact that I have a very good life, I'm now heading into my late 50's and feel like I need a bit of a boost, and a bit of focus. Things have been drifting a bit and 2013 wasn't a geat year one way and another, so mean to (wo)man up and do something about it all!!

I'm not sure I want to put this in writing in case I jinx it.... but I have two Marjorie goals for 2014:
1. show her at the Devon county show. 2. ride her at the golden horseshoe and in a 65km endurance ride.
For myself, I just want to carry on with my MA studies and not work so hard at the office.

Really like the sound of Lisa's resolutions - Flyball (fab!) and singing in a choir - terrific ideas. I think we horsey ladies tend to get a bit too wrapped up in things equine, and extra curricular activities, so to speak, have to be a great idea. Feeling inspired now - maybe this should be the year when I finally get round to learning to speak Welsh. Should help to keep the old brain cells ticking over nicely.

To spend as much time as I can with my Laddie. He endured 3 weeks at horsey hospital in 2013 to save his life and we aim to make the most of it!
