Wow GJ. I am sooo glad you have Jen1 now. I wonder how many people (especially kids) are bullied into bad behaviour by other liveries. Just goes to show you never leave the school playground. I remember one girl giving me a really hard time a few years ago. I had a slightly challenging mare that I didnt find that dangerous becasue I didnt get into a fight with her but others couldnt handle. This girl (I say girl but she was about 27 and had a kid) used to tell me what I should do with this mare (usually involved whips and expletives). One day I kind of had enough and actually laughed in this girls face during one 'lecture' after I had found out she was actually too scared of my horse to even stroke her. She didnt bother me after that. Probably thought I was mad.........

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome and words of encouragement Yesterday, en route to our old yard to pick up our boy, Jen gave me a talking to and told me that if anyone was there that I should give them the "Jen look" I asked her what that was and she showed me - I knew that if anyone dared mess with me or Jen when we turned up I'd be fine! I feel a little lost this morning, I'm usually up at the dark, depressing stables doing what I could to keep my pony sane but I'm sat here actually getting on with my life, dealing with things that have had to be put on the ever growing to-do list because I know my pony is out socialising and interacting with the other horses and will be having a super time enjoying some long overdue freedom and fresh air Our new life and journey into the IH world has really begun and I'm very excited about the future, I feel so much more positive than I did 24 hours ago

… It was wonderful to see our pony out galloping across a HUGE field with other horses today, being the sensitive and emotional me, I had a tear in my eye. I hope that I will see the same sense of freedom and relief in my daughter before so long. I really do know how demoralising it is to be surrounded by people who don't understand what you're about. You will find your way through this, these forums are a tremendous help, as I say I've been lurking for a while but Jen1 said I had to post tonight so what better thread to start with?! What a fabulous story. Kelly should use you as the "poster member". Your experience show that horsemanship won't help you, if you haven't got intelligence.

Thanks for the compliment, I only wrote it from the heart (at quite an unearthly hour!)
