It's a fun little film (I think) - a great family adventure flick with some nice horses in it. Hidalgo's quite cute, for a Mustang!

Come on now - Omar Sharif, Viggo Morgensten (or whatever?) and several hundred horses; what else does a girl need? I have it on DVD as well. (please note, I put Omar Sharif first. From Dr Zhivago to Hidalgo, we grow older together)

I've just finished watching this again on DVD as there was nowt interesting on telly,came on the laptop and here you are talkig about it ;D The Long Riders Guild spoilt it for me with their tyraid against it but seeing their latest tyraid I should've guessed

Viggo Mortensen is fab with horses, too. Anybody see LOTR (making of) when they showed him spending hrs working with 'his' horse and helping at the stables? Plus he bought the grey stallion that played Shadowfax for the stunt girl who trained him, when the movie was over. Plus he is very fit!! Yum
