Our council has enough grit to last all winter.... because they're not putting any on the bliddy roads! Of course it will last well if they keep it in storage sounds about right!

Staffordshire/nr Derbyshire area is pretty bad, roads that aren't gritted are a nightmare!

Near to Guildford,Surrey snow a good 1ft deep and still snowing. Most roads impossible without a 4x4 and still then not good. A3 closed between hindhead and gford. Shattered myself walking normal walk to the pony as snow is so thick and soft

North Lincs/south Humberside is bad. We`ve had a good 5 inches and its still coming down, the motorway is like sheet ice (as i found out earlier).

North Somerset.. Weston Super Mare... Main Roads functioning, however side roads, lanes poor to no..snow as predicted, schools closed, buses not running. I was towed home today by a helpful 4x4 neighbour.. and four strong men... LOL..
On the plus side work cancelled.. dug the horses and mule out of the snow, built a massive snowman in the field for spook busting purposes of course.... only the mule ate the stick arms and hay plaits.... so i had to make the face and eyes out of horse poo for prosperity.....
Yep i wouldn't want to travel from here at the mo...

Bedfordshire has snow. Even gritted roads are not clear and are freezing this evening. Most of the schools are closed.

We have about 3 to 5 inches here in West Somerset - probably more on the hills. Minor roads are not good but I believe main roads are not too bad. I'm stuck at home as I'm at the bottom of a steep little hill - some cars have been passing very slowly but I'm not taking any unecessary risks!

Make that another 6 inch between 9am this morning and 4pm today and its started again! Supposed to be -20 here at weekend and snow should be on for next 2 weeks, chaos!

Harlow, Essex is pretty grim, major roads are ok but the smaller roads are quite treacherous, we've had non stop snow since the early hours of the morning.
I think the forecast is this weather is going to stop around for the next 7 to 9 days and will only get worse as the temperatures plummet and everywhere freezes.
Personal opinion would be to cancel, I wouldn't be going anywhere I didn't absolutely have to go to until this has sorted itself out to be honest.

4-6" of snow in sussex. Main roads are open but a lot are slushy, so when it freezes tonight they'll be a nightmare. High temp for tomorrow and Friday -3!
