LOL! Looks like this might work then... It needs to be March because, believe it or not, by April it's really hard to find a Saturday available because of weddings. I found hotels, but the B+B rates were high. (It's the South remember...). I'll go have a look at the venue next week, but so far we have this: Saturday 10th March. A ball or a disco? Maybe with a charity auction. Not sure yet... Tickets £20 per head, including a buffet. At Oakwood House in Maidstone www.oakwoodhouse-kcc.com/The Morning Room and Garden Room have a partition that can be opened to make a big area, and can take up to 100 people dancing 'till they drop. There is a buy your drinks bar just outside the room, and they include the staffing of that in the room hire. You can stay at Oakwood House overnight, rooms are £30 single and £45 double, including breakfast. There are a couple of family rooms for £70 each - I'm sure some of you will be entering into various negotiations with Oakwood House... I think I might have a free DJ. I'll let you know and start up a proper thread when I have all the details and have checked the costings. We can make a nice profit for the charity if 50 people come, and a REALLY nice profit if we sold all 100 tickets

Wow that looks very nice! I've put 10th March in my diary and as to all other arrangements, I'll go with the flow as long as we're making money.

OK - I've got a DJ by the looks of it, and if not I'm sure I can find another, so we'll def go for this date. If you want more details about the venue, where it is, postcode etc, have a look at the link I've given to the website. We can decide what we're wearing later...
