Class 2 of the 2008 IH DG Video Show
Longlining dressage testSponsored by www.red-horse.co.ukThank you Lou from the IH Office Enter at A, to X, halt. Walk to C, turn left, go large in walk. At F, change rein on diaganol to H. Large to B, change rein B to E. Continue large to C. At C, walk a 20 m circle, then back to large. Large to A, another 20 metre circle in walk, then transition to an second 20 metre circle in trot. Back to walk at A. Large to C, then down the centre line C to A.Turn left. At C, walk a 20 metre circle, to C, then another in trot. Back to walk, large. At A, figure of 8 using whole of school, then go large. Trot next long side, walk along short side, trot along long, back down to walk. Halt at C. Rein back 3 steps. Walk to A. Rein back 3 steps. Walk to C, up centre line at A. Halt at X. End. Entrants should demonstrate softness aids and clarity of communication. We are not looking for collection. OOoh can Jig and I do this I wonder?? I will practise and try and get us entered but don't have anywhere set up in the paddock as yet. Will see if I can borrow a school and get working on this!?!

Jenny, it doesn't matter how smart or unsmart your working area is. If you use a paddock, with bricks or something as your markers, that's ok. IH is about working with what you've got, so if you've got a paddock, then work with it!

Thanks Liz. How right you are! I normally long line round our fields so that's where I'll do it. Am going to the Garden Party and then out tomorrow so will have to try and get this filmed in the week...should be fun!

Sounds about right (I think!). You can't tell how often I do dressage, can't you!!!
Just in case it isn't exactly the same at all, how about if I say that no one will be penalised for using either of the above formats. Sound fair?

Does it matter if we get someone to call this out for us?!?! I haven't EVER done a dressage test and don't reckon I'd remember all this!! Lol!

What's the deadline for entries? Gazdag isn't longlining just yet but I'm hoping he will be in the next few weeks. We won't be very polished though, lol!

Er, possibly. I'll see. Do we get extra points for pesade/spanish walk? He did one of the two behind me on the way to the field today, didn't see which!
