How terrible, and it couldn't be a worse time of year, not just with Christmas but with the cold too.
My thoughts are with them x

Just bringing this up in case anyone hasn't read it yet.
As I've been skidding around on the ice this morning chuntering to myself about frozen pipes etc I tried to imagine what it must be like living in a fold up caravan in northern Scotland with 400+ animals to care for and visions of the ones who died constantly going around in your head. It doesn't bear thinking about.
PLEASE send them a donation - even if it's a £5 it will help the animals and let Pauline and Keith know that people do care about them.

Are you sure it wouldn't help lighten the burden if they loaned/adopted out some of the animals? There have been some lovely offers of practical help on here - unfortunatley it couldn't be a worse time of year for me to help financially and I am sure that is the case for many others.

There have been some lovely offers of practical help on here - unfortunatley it couldn't be a worse time of year for me to help financially and I am sure that is the case for many others. HI GC, I am one of the volunteers for the New Arc and Ihave been up every day since the fire helping Pauline and Keith, can I just point out that you they do rehome/adopt out the animals, in fact they have rehomed over 1000 animals in the last year, infact I am sitting looking at 4 of them here in my living room as I type this. The fire is not the first disaster to hit the charity in the last few weeks. They took in a rabbit that unknown to them was a carrier of an infectiouse deadly disease that has put the centre into quaranteen hence why none of the animals can be rehomed untill after the New Year. Fingers crossed that no more poor bunnies die or the quaranteen will have to remain. This has also added extra strain as only certain volunteers can pass into the quaranteen area so this means that even tho people are coming up to help not everyone is able to be used. Can I say a great big thank you to everyone who has donated and helped out with donations, even my 10yr old daughter has given all the cash that she has received over the last week out of her Christmas cards from our family and friends.. We have done without a posh Christmas pudding and have donated the money that would have been spent on the pudding to the apeal.

Just thought we would drop you a short post to let you know we are back on line, albeit occasionally for the forseeable future. First of all....Thank you all so much for your messages of support! It is hard to express how much this means to us at this time. Thank you all!! We are already indebted to all the I H members for choosing us as their 'nominated' charity for the classified ad section this year, and have already benefited by receiving a cheque for £500.00 only last week, which was very welcome. So, we must admit, it is difficult to find ourselves in a position where we are thanking you again for your kindness and support. So many members have posted, that we feel quite overwhelmed. We only wish that we could respond to each of you individually. In particular we would like to thank Lorraine and Kelly, who have sent personal messages of support to our web site www.thenewarc.org . It is much appreciated and a welcome boost to moral! Some members have asked how they could offer support, or donate goods to us, especially when they are so far away from us, particularly those who have limited funds. However....... We would like to make a suggestion! For those people who have a spare old rug, a badly fitting saddle, old blankets, or some extra hay etc We ask you to make contact with your nearest animal rescue centre. We know how much we appreciate these items, and we have no doubt that your local centre would be just as welcoming. Each and every rescue centre struggles for funds, and any gifts of unwanted animal related goods are always very welcome, and means that centres can spend more of their cash on feed and vets bill etc. Thank you again, everybody for all your messages of support at this very difficult time. Pauline & Keith The New Arc www.thenewarc.org
