what can we do to help? is it funds or actual help needed 1st?

Please, please everyone - we all know that the amount of money we spend over Christmas on 'stuff' is horrendous - resist those must have shoes or the hair do and send New Ark the money instead.
Our sympathy and good wishes are all very well and I'm sure Pauline and Keith will appreciate them but what they need now is cold hard cash and quickly.
Please show them that horsy people have big hearts - the hair do would probably go wrong and the shoes pinch anyway!

Right, we'll kick off the auction.
Pair of Pessoa Travel boots in either pony or full size up for grabs here. Brand new and in Grey/Pink. We'll foot the postage.
GET BIDDING - every penny goes to the Arc.

Wow what a tremendous response! Thank you so much for posting this Lorraine and although I've been a member here for a while I'm a bit of a lurker I'm afraid
Basically Pauline & Keith need EVERYTHING as if they were starting from scratch. Just about everything that they have is ruined, funds are already low and animals still need fed.
The latest update is that some other New Arc volunteers have managed to get them a good deal on a couple of static caravans and although the insurance company are willing to pay for them, don't see themselves paying until well after the New Year ... go figure Someone has offered to pay for one of them upfront but needs a large percentage of the money back. Each caravan is going to cost £600.
I realise that this is a very expensive time of year for everyone but if you can spare ANY kind of donation - no matter how small you may think it is - it would be a HUGE help. Details of how to make a donation are on the New Arc website (not sure how to link from it from here).
I spoke to Pauline earlier and both she and Keith are totally overwhelmed by all the messages of support. Typically them though, they feel that they shouldn't receive any help and it should all be for the animals *sighs*. Obviously they need help with feed, etc for the animals but they also seem to forget that they need stuff for themselves as well because without them, the animals have no future either.
If anyone would like to discuss this with me further, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact me on the above number or PM me and I will try to fill you in as best I can. There is SO much needing to be done and I really can't think where to start at the moment. It's been a very difficult and exhausting couple of days and the phone's been red hot already which is fantastic as there's so many people who want to help in whatever way they can. I have no doubt that Pauline will be thanking you all herself but at the moment, I'm "filling in" for her as her internet connection is off due to fire damage.
Thank you all so very very much for your support!

How awful - I haven't had a chance to look at the website yet (will do that in a minute) but would it also help if the animals that they have at the minute could be rehomed or loaned out so as to make the burden easier?
