To all those who helped me make a decision on going Treeless me & Murphy would like to say a big thank you. I'm extremely pleased with it & we have been out riding every day since. He's like a different horse. What do you think?? I hate camera's not sure why Ive taken on the dazed rabbit expression though lol!! The camera isn't showing the flashing red lights on my tabard, i had an old couple walk past me while i we where out hacking, they where overjoyed at my lovely x-mas lights. I didn't have the heart to tell them they where safety lights lol. A happy Murph's although the camera flash took him by surprise bless!! Also if anyone want to have a guess at age, height & Breed feel free but no cheating lol. ;D Couldn't take any more photo's with out nosy horse wanting a piccy took as well. Please don't look at the mess in my yard. Hope you like them, me & my 3 Neddy's wish you all on the DG a very happy christmas.

I don't have a problem with the stirrups set back, but i am used to riding my other horse in a dressage saddle that has the bars set back also so it was very similar. Haven't jumped in it yet but i wouldn't foresee any problems at all. Danielle there not the Wintec one's but if i had seen them first i would of had them, there nearly half the price of the one's on my saddle. Treeless is all new to me Ive always been a die hard Treed fan, but I'm enjoying it & Ive had no problems with my boy at all since swapping to treeless. He was a nightmare in treed saddles he found them very uncomfortable.

Saddle looks great eskimo!! How are they sized? I have looked on the web but it just says sizes 0,1 and 2. What does all that mean? Cheers

Hi Bicky the sizes 0,1,2 are the seat sizes for you, Barefoot Size Guide: Size 0 : A=length of back = approx 48cm Suitable for children and small adults.(Represents a 14" English saddle recommended up to dress size 8) Size 1: A = length of back = approx. 53 cm B = seat area = approx. 34 cm approximately represents a 15'' Western saddle and 17-17.5'' English saddle recommended for dress sizes 36-40 (10-14) Size 2: A = length of back = approx. 58 cm B = seat area = approx. 39 cm approximately represents a 17'' Western saddle and a 18-18.5'' English saddle recommended for dress sizes starting at 42 (14) Mines a size 1 if that helps you get an idea of sizing.

Lovely pics Eskimo. Nice horses and the saddle looks great.
I'm thinking about a barefoot too. I know you're a dressage rider so can I ask why you chose the Cheyenne over the London? Just out of interest as I'm not sure which one I want.
Thanks x

Gilly - i chose the Cheyenne because i wanted an all-rounder that i could pop a few jumps in. Not that i do much jumping but sometimes i still get the urge. I haven't ruled out the London in fact i think it's lovely & I'm going to try one hopefully in the New year with my other horse the chestnut in the Piccy's. Yep Jen this is my oldie he's a Full TB reg, & he's 21YO he has aged considerably better than me. Ive had for many many years bought him as a 3yo. He mainly did eventing with me when we where both younger, we where in every Pony club team there was. But our dressage score was always very good that we decided to go the Dressage full time. He was competing Elementary think thats what makes him look young as he still has a fair bit of Topline considering he doesn't do Dressage full time any more.

That's just what I was thinking too Eskimo. Much prefer schooling and dressage but would also like to pop a few jumps too. Am currently riding in a dressage saddle which to be honest is ok for the size of jumps I do at the moment but I don't want to restrict my options in the future and can't afford 2 saddles!!

hummmm what is it like to ride in from a convertees point of view? do you find it as 'easy' as a treed? can you rise etc propally in it?
