Thanks again, guys.
Rosie the Falabella has arrived and both her and Edna have known each other before so Clare will put them together in a day or two. At the moment Rosie is in the grass arena and Edna in the paddock next to her.
Edna never went back closely to Jack but when he was taken away she went mad, snorting, whinnying and trotting round and started calling for him from the stable till Rosie came which was only just under an hour and has not called since. They will both stay out tonight as both Jack and Edna were out 24/7 if at all poss.
I simply cannot believe that in the last 18 months we have lost 3 horses and Lexi, just seems so unreal and although I dont say it very often, very, very, unfair too.
I have had 3 large Bacardi's and coke and cant really say it has helped much.........

Gwen, I'm so sorry that you have lost your lovely Jack. I also lost a special horse when he was only fourteen, and he had multiple problems, and I remember only too well that awful feeling of him just slipping through my fingers - I couldn't do any more for him, and it was utterly heartbreaking. Thinking of you and Claire tonight. xx

I can only echo everyone else's messages to you Gwen... I too believe it helps the one's left on this earth when a friend passes on, that they can go and say their own 'goodbye's'...in their own way, after they've been pts..
Thinking of you.
xx

Thanks, everyone for your kind messages.
Yep, we are still here and almost in one piece.
Rosie and Edna are in together now and no probs at all. Neither of them are shod either which is good.
We were talking last night. Edna was here as a companion from Clare's boss for Jack when Daisy was pts beginning of last year. She was on loan and to be returned when anything happened Jack. Clare came back to work for us and was told that Edna was now Clare's! Clare being Clare, didnt argue.
Hence the fact we are going to Bransby as we do not want to repeat history. as harsh as that may sound, as Clare decided after Saintly and Daisy were pts that she wanted to come out of horses for various reasons.
So now we are looking for a companion for a horse that was originally a loan companion!
Just looking at the piccies at the bottom. Saintly on the left, Daisy in the middle and Jack on the right.........all now gone to Rainbow Bridge.

If you know they were all happy in your care and youve done your best for them all, then what more could they have asked for? You can let them go knowing they never went without, nor knew any bad in their lives which must be a great comfort to you. Take care gwennnnnnnnnie xxx

Thanks everyone.
Chloe has been told and she has drawn a picture of a horse to give to Clare, bless her. Funnily enough Jack never did take to Chloe, not sure why though. But having said that he never took to small horses either until we had Rosie here for a short while last year and then she used to groom his knees and he used to groom the top of her head. LOL Now that was funny and said to Clare today wished we had got some piccies of that.
