Me too ;D - even his clipped bits have grown back thick and long already, going to have to clip him again this week as he's getting very sweaty when we ride.

Yep! I've got 3 hairies, and even the TB has grown a decent coat this winter. Then people ask why my horses don't have rugs on! Duh, they grow their own. I just hate spring hen it all comes out.

Me too!! I never clip but my girly is getting so sweaty when I ride I'm going to have to invest in some clippers tonight! I feel some clipper desensitisation work is going to be needed before I'm allowed anywhere near her though! ;D

The Welshie I help with is looking more and more like a polar bear every day, but the 'Native' (unknown breeding) is weirdly lagging behind a bit in the fluffy stakes. He lost a bit of condition and weight last winter, but is looking much better this year so hopefully the fuzz with a vengence won't be far away now.

I've been hacking Lucas out with a cob who's almost his exact double, except that he's fully clipped out and hogged ;D. Lucas only has a little bib and low trace thingy but really I think he might need a bit more off as he's doing quite a lot of hillwork at the moment and he does get very hot hacking and trailering. He's a very hairy, hot horse and getting sweaty makes him itchy. And he almost never seems to get cold in the field, even when he's out clipped and unrugged. Maybe we should just take a teeny bit more off next time....?
It's a nice problem to have in a way though, as it's the first winter I've been able to ride him properly in the three years I've owned him ;D ;D
