One of my new year's resolutions is to plan well in advance, so here is a very early warning about an absolutely super, duper opportunity that I've been able to procure for Easter this year.
Don’t miss this one!
Francois Lemaire de Ruffieu, ex Riding Master of the Cadre Noir and author of “Handbook of Riding Essentials” is coming to the UK for the very first time in 2007.
Francois is a very close friend of Sally Swift of Centered Riding fame, and over the years has included many CR principles into his own incredible teaching. I was honoured to meet him two years ago, and have been trying to get him over to the UK ever since - and now it's going to happen.
He will be delivering just one two day clinic in Cheshire on Monday 9th April (Easter Monday) and Tuesday 10th April. Places are limited so early booking is strongly advised.
Again, I'm organising this clinic on a not-for-profit basis, but need to pay the man, his flights and venue expenses etc. To give everyone the very best chance of getting maximum benefit from his clinic, it's limited to 16 riders. The cost of the clinic is £130 - not cheap, but still excellent value for money as every participant will ride for 4 hours over the two days. As in all the Modern Horse clinics, lunch and refreshments throughout the day will be included.
The venue is once again at Mobberley Riding School in Cheshire. Everyone who attended the CR clinics there last September commented on how nice the venue was, and how lovely the horses were, so if any of you would like to come on the clinic, but can't for some reason bring a horse, then MRS will be happy to hire one to you.
This clinic is a wonderful opportunity for all those wanting to learn from one of the masters of the classical ecole militaire. If you'd like to know more about Francois and the clinic then go to my website www.themodernhorse.co.uk and click through from the clinics and workshops page. There's even an on-line booking form!
