My sister uses that Touchstone for worms as well. I don't know how it would cope with a severe infestation though.

Yes, I don't know that I'd be happy to use it as a 'stand alone' against a severe infection either to be honest, but it would be safe to use alongside the deosect I would think as its just ground up dried algae. Hope your sister has sorted her worms poor thing, ha ha lol!! sorry , couldn't resist

Thanks guys. Vets been again today, now all 3 have had a dectomax injection which will be repeated in 2 weeks time, I`m treating the rugs/fencing/gates/field shelter with Battles powder (also contains Permethrin to kill em), and they will all now have the "Switch" treatment, and fleecey blankets washed and changed every couple of days for a month or so ...... The vet and i will re-evaluate the situation in Feb. I wouldn`t wish lice on my worst enemy ..... (ok maybe i would if i really didn`t like them ;D ) lol !!

As if winter wasn't hard enough, lice are just vile, loathesome things. Whatever about clipping, I wouldn't hesitate to buzz off the manes. That's a lot of work for you Daisy, rug washing and all. Well done and have a safe and happy Christmas for you, family and the herd (if they can be divided into those categories!).

ROFL ... I certainly need something Potto !!! Kanga you`re right it is a lot of work ... i`m saying a silent prayer that my washing machine doesn`t pack up *sigh* (it`d be just my luck right now). Just got back ... and we still have a very itchy Dixie and Ruby. Ah well, next set of "Switch" treatment is on saturday, (that`ll be the 3rd treatment over 3 weeks) so hopefully we`ll start to see a difference in the coming couple of weeks ... i`ll carry on with the "Switch", and the powders, and clean fleeces .... and if all else fails come spring they will be clipped and bathed lolol !! Mandal .... here here ... "Here's to a happy lice free New Year" couldn`t have said it better myself ;D
