Everything comes to he (or she) who waits! This is such a lovely story. I think you should get it published.

Have just updated Beauty's blog: beautythehorse.wordpress.com/2009/11/04/47/Sorry not to have posted more pics sooner. I have been taking them, but too busy with orphan foal and Lakota to get round to updating blog. Here's my fave pics:

They are fantastic piccies, especially the one with her tongue sticking out LOL.
Lovely story and what a happy ending, just what we all aim for in life.

What a fantastic thing to do, well done you!
It is exactly a year since I bought my little scrap of a yearling Highland who was destined for the sale ring, and I've never regretted a single minute. He has blossomed into a confident little pony with his own personality.
If you would like some complimentary worm counts for her to help along the way just say the word and I'll send you some kits and vouchers.

Oh look at her now - what a fantastic set of pics, she looks so well, and so relaxed and happy. I hope her former owner sees them.

That would be lovely gillb, thank you - I will PM.
Funnily enough, as I was going through her pictures, I was wondering if she is looking a bit rounder on the bottom of her belly than on the top and whether that means worms or grass belly. She was wormed on Verm-X when she first arrived, just under 2 months ago. I think it might be a good idea to get a count done and worm her again if count indicates she needs it.

Have to say - she is a scruffy horse, left to her own devices. I almost never groom my other two because they aren't rugged and are out 24/7. But I give Beauty's body a groom every day so she doesn't get uncomfortable under her rugs. It was sunny today, so I gave her a few hours without a rug. She took the opportunity to cover herself with mud! Even when rugged, she manages to get an amazing amount of mud, dirt and leaves on her and I seem to be brushing her feed off her face every day! For a beautiful horse, she is very keen on being scruffy! Perhaps she is trying to look like her new Mum It has to be said, I brush her mane more often than my own hair these days...lol
